[Resolved] GC7V3TH Australian Jasmer "Ausmer" Challenge

Hi there,

I was hoping to get a challenge checker made for an "Ausmer" challenge cache.
The "AUSmer" (Australian Jasmer) is similar to the Jasmer cache, however it only includes the hidden months that are available in Australia.

In brief: I was hoping to get a challenge checker made that will require a cache from every month since May 2000, EXCLUDING June 2000, July 2000, August 2000 & September 2000.

** Additionally to this: Is there a way to specify that only Australian caches can go towards the challenge?
(i.e. The Australian Jasmer achieved with Australian caches)

Is this achievable and realistic to script?

(This is a new challenge cache & I do qualify)
Thanks for your time,
Hayden (Muppet95)

Hello,

Time for me to follow up.

I had added the checker and submitted for review.
Viola! My challenge cache has been submitted:
https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7V3TH_australian-jasmer-ausmer-challenge

Did I need to follow up with anything now?

Apologies if this is an obvious question that has been addressed elsewhere - Is there a way to look who has used the checker?

Thanks for all the help, you legends!

Hi Mods,

Thanks for your active discussion in this thread!
Thanks for your feedback for what I could expect from my local reviewer - I'll keep that in mind and try my best.

The second checker looks appropriate: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7V3TH/36262
Start month is May 2000, which is correct.
Leeway of 4 months is correct.
Country "Australia" is correct.

This will mean that finders need to find all-but-four months, within Australia.
For 99% of us, the 4 month leeway will be June 2000 - September 2000, which is perfect.
For the 1% of geocachers that have found a cache in Australia in those 4 months, good for them! That's a small percentage that I'm happy to overlook.
This will also save a few hours of complicated scripting.

In summary
https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7V3TH/36262 is a good checker.

Now I need to:
Add Checker link to listing.
Submit for Review.
Have a discussion with my local reviewer.
Reply in this thread to tell you that the link/cache is active and working.

Let me know if there is anything else you need from me!
Cheers,
Edit: Oh, wait. I think my search was excluding caches I'd found. Oops. But your checker just allows any four months to be empty. If an old cacher has found GC52 (or if it's still there), they could be given a success message without having met the conditions.
