Re: Connecticut Town Challenge

Hello,

Would it be possible to get a checker made for the Connecticut Town Challenge? Similar to the checker below:

May I ask if this is a new challenge because under the current guidelines such a (polygon) checker is not allowed.

How do you go about creating the checker? Is there easy way to get all of town boundaries?

It sounds that you want to make a new challenge but under the current guidelines this is not allowed

You may be able to get the town boundaries from OpenStreetMap if you are lucky, but as vogelbird has already said: if this is a new challenge it won't be published since caches using user-defined polygons are not allowed. Specifically section 10. Source of Criteria, Not Acceptable: "Challenges based on geographic areas other than countries, states/provinces, counties (or their local equivalent). For example, user-defined mapping polygons, latitude/longitude, radius, etc."

Since this is pretty clear, it's probably unlikely that someone will volunteer to create a checker for you for a cache that they are certain won't be published.

Hello, I work for HQ as volunteer reviewer and I can tell you that this kind of polygon challenge is not publishable any longer. Only geographical units allowed are countries, states/provinces and counties.
