Re: Task without lab caches

Hi there,

I've got a challenge cache that includes/allows lab caches to accomplish the task. I'd love to republish this cache without lab caches because I think they are way too easy.

From 2025 onwards I want new challenge takers to visit the old cache types.

Yes, that can be done easily (by just changing the labcaches flag in the configuration). Please supply your GC code and we can make your checker.

I had a discussion with Geocaching HQ last year about when it is allowed to include or to exclude labcaches in a challenge.

For streak challenges you are not allowed to exclude them, since no additional requirements about the finds are allowed to be defined. All finds need to count in a streak.
Lab caches are also included in the "longest streak" that is shown on the geocaching.com statistics page for your profile (https://www.geocaching.com/my/statistics.aspx).
