Hello,

I would like to request a checker for a new challenge cache.

Challenge name:
“Musterbruch – Die Anti-Serien-Challenge”

Requirements:

* Find 50 caches
* Maximum 2 finds per calendar day may count
* At least 5 different cache types are required
* At least 10 different D/T combinations are required
* No identical D/T combination may appear directly consecutively in the qualifying list
* Previous finds may count

The checker should ideally:

* show the qualifying caches
* show used cache types
* show used D/T combinations
* indicate if more than 2 caches from one day are counted

The challenge is intended to encourage varied caching behavior and avoid long monotone powertrail series.

Thank you very much for your help!

Regards

Please provide a GC code for your checker request.

I'm not sure if I understand your requirements.
You talk about calendar dates (i.e. something like May 8 without a year).
You also talk about "consecutively in the qualifying list". What does "consecutively" mean? By which criteria shall the list be sorted to find out if 2 caches are consecutive to each other?

Thank you for your questions.

G Code = GCBPJD2

To clarify:

* “Maximum 2 finds per calendar day” means:
only 2 caches from the same full date may count
(example: 2026-05-08).

* “Directly consecutively” refers to the order of the qualifying caches sorted by find date (oldest to newest).

Example:

* D1/T1
* D2/T2
* D2/T2 ← not allowed (same D/T directly consecutive)
* D3/T2

The same D/T combination may appear again later, just not directly one after another in the qualifying list.

I hope this explains the intended logic better.

I think such a checker would require a custom script.

Before putting work into this, please get confirmation from your reviewer that he would publish such a challenge.

Hello,

We have changed the requirements for this cache and now have the following:
(Cache-name changed in Königlich-Bayerischer Dosn-Kundler (Challenge))

All finds in Germany-Bavaria:

10 Traditional Caches

9 Mystery Caches

8 Multi-Caches

7 EarthCaches

6 Virtual Caches

5 Events

4 Letterbox Hybrids

3 Webcams

2 Wherigo Caches

1 CITO Event

We think, this must be possible!

Hi KaiservonChina,

We asked the reviewer and he confirm, to publish this Cache with the Settings.
But we decide to change following attributes;

All finds in Germany-Bavaria:

9 Mystery Caches

8 Multi-Caches

7 EarthCaches

6 Virtual Caches

5 Events

Here is your checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCBPJD2/115537

Please note that you must be qualified for your own challenge, otherwise the reviewer will not publish it.
You are missing the 2 CITOs in Bayern.

Please test and reply.

Hello again,

Unfortunately, the checker isn't working correctly. It requires 2 Wherigos and 1 webcam, but the checker is operating in reverse.

Apologies once again for the trouble.

As by your request from June 15, 2026 06:51PM, the checker tests for 2 Webcam Cache and 1 Wherigo Cache.

Do you want these numbers to be swapped?

I'm sorry, but since the changes to the Guidelines in August 2025, no additional reqirements are allowed anymore for events. You are only allowed to require a certain number of events.

Please read https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206#criteria

Quote
Acceptable
Events, not including any other criteria.

So "5 Events" and "1 CITO Event" in Bayern/Germany is no longer allowed.

I also recommend that you ask your reviewer in advance how many different conditions he would allow.
The Guidelines only say something like "a long list may prevent publication", but they don't give a clear limit.
Some reviewers in the world allow not more than 3 conditions.
