[Resolved] New Checker for GC8HZCV

I would like a checker made that is similar to this one but with some modifications listed below: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ACPP/43756

Need to find at least 50 EarthCaches and you also have to have found an EarthCache in at least 10 different states.

Here you go:

Let us know if it's suitable.

The numbers look excellent on this. Slight modification on the output if possible. At the end of the first grouping showing the 10 different states, could you add a line break before you put in the "In total (respecting all challenge requirements and limitations), I have found 67 caches (required minimum: 50).Here is the list of 50 required finds:" line? This will help make it more readable when they post this output in their log. Thank you in advance and I appreciate your help getting this done so quickly!

It appears that the list of 50 caches is getting cut off, perhaps b/c it is too many characters. If it isn't too much work, could you just show the summary in this section instead and remove the specific list of 50 found in the output? I would like to keep the output showing 10 states just like it is now. Thanks in advance, sorry for the trouble.

I've changed it so that only the number of finds is displayed now. Please test again and report back.

Oh no I think you misunderstood all that I was asking. I wanted to keep the 10 states showing just like it was, with where they were found and which ones (just like in the example I listed in my first post). I was wanting just a summary on the 50 individual caches below since the list was too big and was running into character limits. I am grateful for your work and if you can't fix it back, I understand. Please let me know if you need any further info.

If we could make it look like this, I would be super grateful:

[CacheSleuth](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=CacheSleuth) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ACPP/43756 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I have found required number of caches (1) in each of 11 Regions (required number of Regions: 10).
Finds in required Regions are listed here:

**Oklahoma** (United States) [Arbuckle Anticline (GC15XJH)](https://coord.info/GC15XJH) | 2015-11-29 | 2007-09-13
**Texas** (United States) [Natural Bridge Earthcache (GCNDCH)](https://coord.info/GCNDCH) | 2016-05-26 | 2005-04-09
**California** (United States) [Advancing Shorelines – Torrey Pines (GCZ5EN)](https://coord.info/GCZ5EN) | 2016-09-18 | 2006-11-01
**New Mexico** (United States) [Mesa View (GC5F9E1)](https://coord.info/GC5F9E1) | 2017-10-07 | 2014-10-22
**Colorado** (United States) [Denver International Airport Earthcache (GC57BR8)](https://coord.info/GC57BR8) | 2019-12-12 | 2014-06-20

In total (respecting all challenge requirements and limitations), I have found 59 caches (required minimum: 20).

The script unfortunately only provides these two options. But I can ask the scriptwriter to add another option where it only shows the region finds in the log.

If we keep the output like you have it but modify the "example log" to show the region details for the 10 like the output shows, that would work too.

Not meaning to cause any trouble so please pardon my request. If you are asking the original script writer to add a modification in to show the first 10 different states and then a summary amount for the 50 required, that would be awesome. If you were not intending to do that, then I would like you to switch it back to the original version where it showed everything because the formatting is a lot nicer than the simple two line output. Thank you for your understanding and I appreciate the status update.

Don't worry, if a request was too much work, we'd let you know ;)
I've messaged him already.

For now I've switched it back to the original output.

Now it's changed so that the log only shows the numbers, and the html output shows the list of caches, which finders can then copy if they want. Are you ok with that?

I appreciate the work you have put into it so far. I hate to be picky but most people use the example log which they copy and paste as proof. I was hoping you could make the example log show the 10 different states with html formatting like you have for the full output. This looks the best to me. Then show a summary for the 50 part since that’s where we were running into character length limits. If that’s not possible, please set it back to the original version that shows the html log example and I’ll just deal with part of the 50 getting cut off. I very much prefer seeing the list of 10 states with the html formatting vs just a summary in the example log. Thank you in advance. Again, sorry to cause trouble.

Another try. Actually showing all 50 in the log now, saved some space by cutting hidden date and such. HTML is still the same.

I love it! Thank you so much! Everything looks great with the tiniest exception, in the example log there is this “[/code]“ at the very end. Otherwise I think what you did with it is fantastic! I truly appreciate all the effort you put in and for your patience.
