Would it be possible to create a challenge similar to this one :

What I would like to do is to show the oldest caches in the region that are still active.
In order not to exclude the archived ones (whose publication date is older than the 1 point cache in each category) that could be taken into account, they could be given 1 point and use the solution that Arisoft had proposed "only check the archived caches if there are caches missing in the main list".
The "age" of the cache would be based on its publication date, which makes sense for the caches that are still active and that I would like to valorise.
I had already made a request on this subject without having found a satisfactory solution at the time.

Both examples were using the same checker script.
What new directives you are referring here?

A year ago I wanted to publish my challenge and here is the answer I got from the reviewer:

"It seems to me that the problem with this challenge is that it is based only on active caches. So if a cache is archived, you may no longer meet the conditions. This is therefore not in accordance with the Guidelines.
Maybe you should look at the script "Generic Oldest in N Regions (by sloth96)"

but the script he proposed me didn't correspond to what I wanted.

This is correct. This checker doesn't use archived caches. Support for archived caches requires a modification to the checker if the challenge and output is appropriate.

Yes if the output could be as it was on the previous script it would be perfect.
For the addition of the archived files I give free rein to your possibilities, either just a line giving the point total obtained thanks to the archived files or a detailed list or something else that I didn't imagine.

No, we are waiting for news for the checker, or else I didn't understand what more I had to bring at my request.

The modified checker script is now available. The checker optionally includes all archived finds to the list of oldest caches before scoring them by date. That shoud meet the requirements.

I found your cloned tag for the unpublished challenge and modified this to use this new option.
