GC99X5H PET 52: It's a Streak! (180), Checker 60288, has a bit of a problem.

I qualify. I have 182 (more than 180), and I get a green check. BUT I also get text that says I do NOT qualify. Oh!

Here's the text:

When I put in Stews Crew, I should get 30 days back in 201x. (The August streak.) But I get only 2, yesterday and today!

Stews Crew has a 31 or 32 day stream in August of 2013.

I checked a few more friends. Lusophile has more than 2 days (checker reported), HaveBirdWillGeo has several months (1 or 2 days reported by checker), but IMSpider seems to be correct (or close, 4957 days).

JeepFeet has at least a full year (he asked us to make the challenge longer).. it reports yesterday, one day only.

I'm very confused...

Adjusted the code a little bit and all your test cases now give better results, apart from JeepFeet who only shows a streak of 32 days. Any chance his 1 year streak contains labcaches? If so, I'll have to modify the code to allow for labcaches too.

When JeepFeet suggested the challenge, I assumed he qualified... I'll follow up with him.

The success cases worked fine to pinpoint a viable streak, but it continued running to find a longer streak. However, it might have found a 2 day streak at the end of your finds, which doesn't qualify and it remembered that you didn't qualify (for that 2 day streak), even though you already qualified with a much longer streak. It was only the text that was displayed that got it wrong/confusing and you still would have qualified with a longer streak. But it's all sorted now.

PS: I added labcaches on my test code and JeepFeet doesn't qualify there either, unless it's the problem that labcache finds sometimes count under the wrong date.

Sorry, I misunderstood what JeepFeet was asking for (he wanted caches found on 366 day calendar).

The rest are working now.

And I understand the coding issue. Thanks for fixing it. It's me (needing to know the coding)... I'm a software engineer ;-)

As for Lab Caches... it seems to me that, if it's easy to do, Lab Caches ought to be included. I cannot imagine caching every day, including a day when I find 1-2-more Lab Caches, only to find they don't have a Bonus Cache associated (often we don't know until the end), only to have that day NOT counted in a streak.

Can you leave the script as including Lab Caches?

Adjusted your checker to include labcaches.

Lab caches are explicitly excluded in the guidelines. Please check https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206 and look at 10. Sources of Criteria.

I believe they're okay if they appear in your streak or calendar, but you can't specify them explicitly. vogelbird will probably confirm shortly.

pieterix is correct, you can not specify but because they are accepted in your calendar and your total you can allow Lab caches

Does that mean I should or should not mention Lab Caches in the cache description?
