[Awaiting feedback] Problem with Checker for GC9DRAR
July 14, 2021 06:08PM
The Problem is with Burnet County. It says I don't have it BUT

*** Burnet County (TX): Oldest found GC21C0 2001-10-06 - Oldest available GC21BE 2001-10-06

The date of my Oldest Found is the same date as the Oldest available. Shouldn't this county be one I am given credit for ?

Is anyone going to address my issue?

I believe when the script finds two caches placed on the same date, it sorts them by gc-code alphabetically and numerically, so it calculates GC21BE as older than GC21C0.

Well there is no guarantee that that is correct. So I ask if the script can be changed to allow for caches hidden on the same date to be treated the same?

I've messaged the scriptwriter for you.

The script was originally made explicitely to find the oldest cache by using order of the cache-IDs. This is stated in the description note of the script. The reason was to quarantee that there is only one oldest cache per region. It is up to the cache owner to decide wether this is desired feature or not.
