We are requesting a checker please be created for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
If any of the ones in the bonus miles can be scripted as well, that'd be cool, but those are optional (qualifications= MAYBE). Text from the cache page:

The moon's farthest orbit from Earth is 252,088 miles away.
Your mission is to travel this distance using the launch sequence below, each one moves you different miles towards your destination. You may SL anytime, but unless you qualify, please log a "write note" until you have accrued enough miles to go the entire distance (we don't want you stranded in space partway there because no one will be able to hear your DNF).
+ = or more
Launch Sequence to accrue maximum mileage:
15,000 mi - Find 1+ cache placed in every month of every year starting in May 2000 (Jasmer)
14,000 mi - Find 2+ caches in all 81 spots in the difficulty/terrain matrix (2x Fizzy)
13,000 mi - Find 10+ caches that were placed in the year 2000
12,500 mi - Find 100+ high-terrain caches (4 to 5-star terrain ratings)
12,000 mi - Find 100+ high-difficulty caches (4 to 5-star difficulty ratings)
11,500 mi - Find caches on 365+ consecutive days (daily streak)
11,500 mi - Find caches that were placed on all 366 days of the year (these do not have to be in the
same cal year)
11,000 mi - Find caches on all 366 days of the year (these do not have to be in the same cal year)
11,000 mi - Find 1,100+ caches during one calendar year
10,500 mi - Find a cache in 5+ countries
10,000 mi - Find a cache in 10+ Canadian provinces
9,500 mi - Find a cache at an elevation of 10,000+ feet
9,500 mi - Find a cache in 40+ US states
9,500 mi - Find a cache in 400+ US counties
9,000 mi - Find 5,000+ total caches
9,000 mi - Earn 150+ geocaching souvenirs
8,500 mi - Find/Attend 10+ "unusual" caches/events (Giga, Maze, APE, Locationless, Block
Party, HQ)
8,500 mi - Find 10+ Webcam caches
8,000 mi - Find 10+ Wherigo caches
8,000 mi - Find 100+ Letterbox Hybrid caches
8,000 mi - Find 100+ Virtual caches
8,000 mi - Find 100+ Earthcaches
8,000 mi - Find 100+ Multi-caches
8,000 mi - Find 1,000+ Mystery/Puzzle/Unknown caches
8,000 mi - Attend 10+ CITO (Cache In Trash Out) events
8,000 mi - Attend 150+ Events (includes "community events" & Mega; excludes CITO & Giga)
2,500 mi - Find 100+ size large caches
2,000 mi - Find 100+ size not chosen &/or “other” caches
1,000 mi - Find 100+ size regular caches
1,000 mi - Find 100+ size small caches
1,000 mi - Find 100+ size micro caches
1,000 mi - Find 100+ size “virtual” caches

Not quite to the moon yet? You may add these bonus miles for an extra rocket boost:
(Note: these cannot be verified using Project-GC, but can be verified if your stats are public, or however else you can prove you completed the sequence):

11,000 bonus mi - Find 200+ caches during one calendar day
9,500 bonus mi - Move or discover 1,000+ trackables
9,500 bonus mi - Find a cache 800+ miles from home

Here is the link https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9JH5N/64527

I made the following changes
11,000 mi - Find caches on all 366 days of the year (these do not have to be in the same cal year)
is changed to 365 days because leapday is not counted only allowed

11,000 mi - Find 1,100+ caches during one calendar year
This item is not allowed

The reviewer will only accept the items when you are fulfilling the challenge criteria and in some items this is not the case yet
Like:
10,000 mi - Find a cache in 10+ Canadian provinces
9,500 mi - Find a cache in 400+ US counties
8,500 mi - Find/Attend 10+ "unusual" caches/events (Giga, Maze, APE, Locationless, Block Party, HQ)
2,500 mi - Find 100+ size large caches

The bonus section is not allowed as this can not be included in the checker

Please test and reply

So bonus points can't be allowed at all? That was why we made them "bonus" points (completely optional). The idea was to give them more to get them over the required amount in case the checker said no. We've seen some previous challenges list these as "MAYBE." Also, we do qualify for the cache itself with our existing points. We have to qualify for every single item listed there (ALL the available points), not just the overall cache (252,088 points)?

For the "unusual" icons category, make that a 5 instead of a 10. I forgot we moved Megas to be counted with regular events.

We technically do have 400 US counties, we just haven't finished logging them all. That's okay, let's bring it down to 350 anyway.

Let's try these numbers & mileages instead. May still revise the mileages to make up for bonus miles if they really won't let us add those optional extra credit miles.

6,500 mi - Find ≥ 60 size large caches
  5,000 mi - Find ≥ 100 size not chosen &/or “other” caches
  4,000 mi - Find ≥ 100 size regular caches
  3,500 mi - Find ≥ 100 size “virtual” caches
3,000 mi - Find ≥ 100 size small caches
  2,000 mi - Find ≥ 200 size micro caches

Would like to add if possible
50 mi - Per D/T loop >2 (ex: 4 total loops = 100 additional points)

Still thinking on the Canadian provinces issue.

I adjusted the checker , please try

Let's make 1 Canadian province worth 500 mi and drop the 10 provinces.
If still possible, add 10,000 mi for a Full Moon Shot of 252,088 miles or more in total distance (measured in straight lines) between all found caches in the order logged (See GC554VN).

Oh, I see, you took it from the 2x fizzy. But if they don't have 2 fizzies minimum, they shouldn't get any points at all. The way it's written now they are going to get 50 points for a single fizzy, right?
Re: Checker Requested for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
November 22, 2021 09:15PM
Also, I just noticed I had 13,900 miles on the 2x Fizzy that should've come up at 14,000 miles.
Re: Checker Requested for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
November 22, 2021 09:25PM
Also, the checker is currently counting extra points for all 13 of our loops. If D/T loops is over 2, only 3+ should count for extra miles. So either we need a conditional statement of some sort (ex: if D/T is less than or equal to 2 then 0 extra miles; if D/T is 3+ then add 50*(total D/T count - 2), or subtract 100 mi from all the D/T loop mi before spitting out the bonus miles.
Re: Checker Requested for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
November 22, 2021 09:54PM
Against changed apart from the d/t loops

Because the way the script works
the moment when you have 2 loops
You score 13900 miles + 100 bonus miles = 14000

You have 3 loops
Score 13900 + 150 = 14050
Re: Checker Requested for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
November 23, 2021 01:14AM
I have 13 loops, so it showed 650 points. So let me make sure I understand. The way it's written, 2x or lower they get 0 for both, correct?
Re: Checker Requested for GC9JH5N Bang, Zoom, Straight to the Moon Challenge
November 23, 2021 06:54AM
1 loop is 0
2 loops is 13900 miles + 100 bonus miles = 14000
3 loops is 13900 miles + 150 bonus miles = 14050
4 loops is 13900 miles + 200 bonus miles = 14100
............
13 loops is 13900 miles + 650 bonus miles = 14550

Thanks for clarifying. May need to add a couple more things, as only 6 people in our area qualify, even though KS & IA folks who come through here regularly totally do. Please standby.

In order to get 4 more folks to qualify, let's please add:
10,750 mi - Find an Earthcache in ≥ 22 states (min one Earthcache per state)

Well, looks like the reviewer hates it. So I'm attempting to super simplify it.
Hopefully this is enough to get it through. Are there still ANY challenges with a few pieces iinvolved being published anymore, or are they all single piece?? Please kindly let me know if I'm wasting my time here. I feel like I'm beating my head against a rock again with them. Here's what I'm now proposing: 504,176 miles needed, 3 pieces (only because we don't have enough miles to make it home, & neither does anyone else in our state). If small, multipart challenges have gone the way of the dinosaur, please tell me now. Thanks for your hard work & patience, Vogelbird!!

Earth
Booster 1
189,066 mi - Find an Earthcache in ≥ 22 states (min one Earthcache per state)

Sky
Booster 2
189,066 mi - Find a cache at an elevation of ≥ 10,000 feet

Moon
Finish your mission & return home.
378,132 mi - Log a Moon shot & a half (252,088+126,044 mi) total distance measured in straight lines b/w all found caches in the order logged

Oh shoot, I sent the wrong mileages for 2 of those. Not 189,066. Those 2 should be 63,022 each. I forgot to update the page, oops.

I still don't know if these are even allowed as a general rule. No one I've asked seems to know.

Config adjusted

Please check the miles awarded
1) 189066 miles
2) 63022 miles
3) 378132 miles

Total required 504176 miles

For me the total has no relation with items 1 to 3

@vogelbird OP said in their correction at December 03, 2021 07:32PM to make 1 = 63022, 2 = 63022, 3 = 378132. Then the total would be 504176 and the calculation makes sense.

The reviewer stopped replying to our emails. Getting extremely frustrating. Please continue to standby while we keep trying to figure out what will appease him.

After getting the status request note on January 05, 2022: since we were not getting any further responses since we informed both the reviewer & HQ we'd updated the page Dec 1st, we decided to resubmit the cache with the hopes it just got lost in the shuffle. We've already received some fresh feedback (guess it went back into the que) & have started running the checker looking for folks within about 200 miles who qualify. Btw, is there some way to automate this? We're just tossing in whomever we can think of off-hand in the area.

This script seems to exclude more people than the original (grr!) since that one had so many more options to qualify. This new one is particularly limiting because most people in this area don't seem to move around much. Many haven't even reached moon shot, let alone 1.5 or double moon shot. Guess I'll have to wait a few years to make one of those.

If we revise the mileages to earth/sky to each getting them halfway there, then a full moon shot back, we seem to reach enough qualifiers & still have the same basic concept. So here's the revisions we are now proposing:

Earth 126,044 mi - revise to 18+ ECs (a little easier)
Sky 126,044 mi - revise to 9,842.52 ft (3000 km) (a little easier still)
Moon 252,088 mi (405,696.3103 km) - revise to 1 vs 1.5 (even easier, is this still even a D5 anymore?)
= 504,176 miles (811,392.6206 km)
Fingers crossed this finally clears.
