[Resolved] New Challenge Checker

Hi

Please could you create a challenge checker for me - there are 3 tiers so I have requested them all here as I am sure it will only involve a small coding change for each one.

GC9MDYK - 3,2,1 D/T County Challenge (1) 3 D/T grids in 1 county/state
GC9MDYB - 3,2,1 D/T County Challenge (2) 2 D/T grids in 2 counties/states
GC9MDYK - 3,2,1 D/T County Challenge (3) 1 D/T grid in 3 counties/states

As I would like this to be a worldwide challenge, is it possible to include states & counties as I am not sure how many people in the uk only would qualify for this?

Thanks
Paul

I’ll try to make these along with your other request at the weekend. Just checking you mean for the first one for example, D/T looped 3 times with caches found within one county?
Also for this, and your other request, counties and states are different levels of administration. There are regions in the UK (e.g. North West England) which are the same level as states, and the US, for example has counties within the states that are the same level as counties here. How would you like to tackle this?

Hi
Thank you for clarifying the admin levels as I wasn't sure how it worked in the USA. Based on this, I would like to tackle this by having a checker that uses counties. I can also clarify that you have understood the request, i.e D/T looped 3 times with caches found within one county.
Thanks
Paul

Here is the first link:

If you think this is good, then I'll make the others. Also, can you check the DT of the last one as this is the same as the first :)

Hi
In essence this is good and the principal works. However I have tried to run it for various people and it works for some but not for others in that it brings up an error in execution, works fine for me but for example someone in the US fish2007 or DizzyPair in the uk it doesn't work. Please let me know if this is an error in the coding? Also to clarify as they are all different:-
GC9MDYK - 3 D/T loops in 1 county
GC9MDYB - 2 D/T loops in 2 different counties
GC9MDYK - 1 D/T loop in 3 different counties
Thanks
Paul

Yep, was an error in the code (when the cache has no county if you were interested). Should be fixed now. About my other point, there was a typo, I meant the first and third caches have the same GCcode :)

Hi

Yes sorry I misunderstood, my error with the GC code, now corrected below
GC9KTQR - 3 D/T loops in 1 county
GC9MDYB - 2 D/T loops in 2 different counties
GC9MDYK - 1 D/T loop in 3 different counties

The checker seems to work fine now, I have checked against cachers from Uk, USA & Germany (and yes, was interested in the reason!)

Many thanks for your time with these,
Paul

Here are your checkers then;
GC9KTQR - 3 D/T loops in 1 county

GC9MDYB - 2 D/T loops in 2 different counties

https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9MDYB/65794

GC9MDYK - 1 D/T loop in 3 different counties

Hopefully these are good now
