Re: Question and GC9RE1X Checker Request

Question: I know that "areas" are limited to counties, states, etc. But since distance between caches are allowed, is it within the guidelines to have a challenge to find X-number of caches within say 0.2miles of any found cache. Example Find 15 caches within 0.2 miles of any given found cache. Does that make sense?

GC9RE1X:
Could I get a checker similar to GC8R2R0. It says
The air-line distance from the first to the last found cache should be at least 500 km.
The distance between the individual caches may not exceed 20 km.

I would like the numbers to be "at least 300 miles" (unless I qualify for longer 350, 400, etc. But I'm doubtful...)
The distance not to exceed 10 miles (unless I don't qualify, but I'm pretty sure I qualify if it is 12 miles- so if 10 doesn't work, do 12.)
Question: Do "air-line" distance and "as the crow flies" mean the same thing?
