Hi Helpers,

I am preparing my first set of Challenge Caches since the rules changed and am requesting a checker for GC9YC0J please.

Requirement: Sutherland Shire LGA Challenge Series Silver 1 requires you:

To maintain a streak for 5 days within the Shire Boundary.

Unfortunately, this challenge is not publishable under the current Challenge Cache Guidelines. In particular, it states that:

Challenge Cache Guidelines - Section 9: Time-Limited

NOT ACCEPTABLE
Specifying any element of a cache page (type, rating, etc.) or find count (above one per day) required during a streak.

Hello Hugh,

I have changed the wording so that it is acceptable and ensure there is no time limit.

"requires you to maintain a streak for 5 days within the Shire Boundary".

9. Time-Limited. States that the following is allowed.
Maintaining a finds streak, at least one find per day, up to 365 days.

The issue is the “within the Shire boundary” part. As per the Guidelines,

The location of the cache, ie. “within the Shire” would be an element of the cache page. The best you can do is a five day streak with no strings attached.

…as before, however, if you can get preapproval from your local Reviewer I am happy to set this up. Make sure that they are aware of what your Challenge is and the issue that I have raised.

Note that the restriction that "[finds must be] within the Shire Boundary" is something that I doubt can be enforced under the current Guidelines. Thus, I have not included it in the checker. Finds from anywhere can be used.

Hi Hugo,
I have removed the requirement to do the streak within the LGA. Thanks for advise.
If they want to do a manual list that will be acceptable. Most beginners will have their streak in the area.
The checker works Ok.
