The Cache, there isn't a GC Code yet, it's an Idea.

The Challenge:
Find Caches in the Country Germany, build a line with Countys from the north to the south complete AND
build a line from the East to the West complete.

It's technically not a problem as long as someone provides the data of which counties are neighbors with each other, a connection list. Similar requests needing the same data (but other countries) has been asked a few times in the forum already.

There is no script ready that does this. So it's best to create the list in a format that a developer would like, to make it easier for him to implement the script. Finding a developer could be fairly hard right now when the demand is quite high. But if I were you, I would start acknowledging that I understand what needs to be done and that I am willing to prepare that data. Then maybe a developer shows interest.

To me it's unclear if one can start and stop in whichever county they want, or if it's the exact four you have chosen. I notice you didn't choose the most western one for example. Doesn't seem to be the most northern one either. But this doesn't really matter on a technical basis.

Create the data in the same format.Add an fake state to the north, south, east and west. one county in each fake area conneted to all counties that are ok an extrene counties.

The numbers can be choosen as you like. it might be an idea to start on 101 in the first state/Bundesland and 201 in the next. I suspect it is easier then.
And the name has to bre the same as on pgc

I saw the list in the dropbox, thats ok, i will build this, but first, what do you meen with pgc? this site? project-gc?
or Page Groundspeak?
And where i can find the names, is it possible to take the makro "find state gen" to get the names or is a special list?

Once you have the connections done, just a list of the north, southern, eastern, and western counties would be needed.

The software is mostly written.

There are still some issues to work out with reviewers so these sorts of challenges are under a temporary moratorium. So I wouldn't rush the work. We may never be able to use it.

Code does not exist. It is however close. Development was stopped because of the need for GC approval.
