Checker not conected with cache
May 23, 2022 01:03PM
Hello

Is it possible to create a checker not associated with any cache?

I need a tool to verify the conditions for awarding tourist badges related to geocaching.

Previously, this was supported by a page that had API access to geocaching.com but the person running it decided to close the site.

It is possible, although generally not done. What information specifically are you looking for?

There is a 4 levels of badge.
Popular, bronze, Silver, gold

Each rank of the badge has its own criteria based on the number of caches found, the number and type of hidden caches, and the number of voivodeships visited - all only in Poland.

I need tool that will werify condition for each badge rank.

You have to tell us which criteria and quantity each badge requires

Only finds and hides in Poland counts.

Popular - found 100 caches. No other critetia
Bronze - found at last 250 caches, hide 10 caches. Extra criteria: found cache in 4 different voivodeships, hide 2 different cache types.
Silver - found at last 500 caches, hide 25. Extra criteria: found cache in 6 different voivodeships, hide 4 different cache types incuding event.

unfortunately, you cannot have a criteria that requires cachers to hide a cache.
