Re: Distance Cached in a Day

Just a quick idea check before I place a series of caches I've been pondering:

I noticed that one of the stats listed on the first page of statistics is "Maximum distance in a day". Is it possible to create a checker based on this statistic (requiring the cacher to have cached 5km in a day, or 50, or 500...)?

Yes - it is possible - see for example GC2N162

I'm sorry, although it is possible to make a checker, time limited finds of this kinds are not acceptable.

Time-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Example, Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc. (new 2016)

Would there be any issue with a challenge based on "Total cache-to-cache distance", since that's not time-dependent?

Total cache-to-cache distance is a viable challenge condition. However you probably want to create a new thread as few people will check the archive folders.
