Re: Request to modify existing GCAT691 checker (or may require new one)

Hi there - My unpublished GCAT691challenge cache already has this checker built for it - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAT691/101447. Right now the challenge is to find 11 different cache types with a D1/T1 difficulty/terrain level.

I was wondering if I could add another "dimension"/criterion to the challenge before I publish it. In keeping with the 1s theme of this challenge, I was wondering if the challenge could also require people to have found 111 D1/T1 caches as well.

I'm not sure if that requirement can be added to the existing checker or if a new checker needs to be created. I leave that up to you.

Possible problems:
Due to changes in the Guidelines in August 2025 you are now only allowed to require a certain number of events, but no additional criteria on the events (like country/state/region/county, terrain, attribute, month etc.).
Acceptable:

Events, not including any other criteria.

Available types without events: 11, including 3 rare types.
Please get confirmation from your reviewer if he would publish such a challenge.

However, due to the guideline changes 1 year ago, you are now no longer allowed to require event types with D1/T1 rating.
So I don't think that the reviewer will still allow this many types.

Please test and let us know, whether the checker works as you expect.

Thank you for the checker. Sorry for taking so long to reply. The cache (and challenge) was approved (and published on Sun) so all is good.
