Hello,
I would like to request a Challenge Checker for:
GC code: GCBVTYP
Cache name: Challenge 366
Challenge requirement
The cacher must have found at least one geocache on every calendar day from January 1 through December 31, plus at least one geocache on February 29.
The challenge therefore consists of:
all 31 days of January;
all 28 days of February;
all 31 days of March;
all 30 days of April;
all 31 days of May;
all 30 days of June;
all 31 days of July;
all 31 days of August;
all 30 days of September;
all 31 days of October;
all 30 days of November;
all 31 days of December;
and at least one February 29 find in any leap year.
This means 365 regular calendar days + one February 29 find = 366 requirements.
Important February 29 rule
February 29 is a special additional requirement.
The cacher only needs to have found a cache on February 29 once.
The year does not matter.
For example, any of the following should satisfy the February 29 requirement:
February 29, 2020
February 29, 2024
February 29, 2028
February 29, 2032
etc.
The checker should treat all February 29 finds as satisfying the same additional requirement.
The cacher does not need to have a February 29 find in every leap year.
Important distinction
February 29 must be checked in addition to the other 365 calendar days.
For example:
A cacher has found caches on all 365 regular calendar days, and also has a find on February 29, 2024:
PASS
A cacher has found caches on all 365 regular calendar days, but has never found a cache on February 29:
FAIL
A cacher has found caches on all regular calendar days except March 15, but has a February 29, 2024 find:
FAIL
The February 29 find must therefore never substitute for a missing regular calendar day.
Suggested checker output
If technically possible, I would appreciate an output showing the progress, for example:
Calendar days: 365 / 365
February 29: Found
Overall: QUALIFIED
If the cacher does not qualify, the checker should preferably show which regular calendar day(s) are still missing and whether the February 29 requirement has been completed.
Summary of the logic
The checker should return PASS only if:
Every month/day combination from January 1 through December 31, excluding February 29, has at least one qualifying find; AND
There is at least one qualifying find whose date was February 29 in any year.

In that case, I’ll change the name of the challenge to Challenge 365. I assume I can use an existing checker then?

You need to create new checker with your GC code.
You can clone existing checker and create identical checker with your GC code, or we can create your calendar 365 checker.

Could you tell me exactly how to add the checker to my cache? I can't seem to find it right away.

– Open the checker and click the "Link..." button.
– Copy the code that is shown in the bottom right part.
– Open your listing and click "Edit".
– Make sure that the button "</> Source" is selected.
– Paste the code you copied earlier into your listing.
