[Resolved] Cache Birthday Checker

We have not attempted a challenge cache in a long time.

We are working on GC8QRWW. I cloned the checker GC78J02 which we found and qualified for. I got the response that my clone was successful, but I don't know what to do next. Help!

If you open it, click on the "Link" button on the right (sixth one down on my side). Then copy the text for the third option and paste that into your cache description. Save, preview and submit for publication once you're happy with it.

I am publishing a number of these caches all of which have checkers I can clone. (They are a days journey from our home and will be repetitive in our area. ) Do I need to post on the forum each time. We have done 5 more hides. Can we send them all at once?

You can put them all in this thread and I'll assist. You can also search for your cloned checkers on this page. Just first clear the country field before you search since that's only known once your challenge cache is published.

Thank you so much for helping us, especially in these troubled times. We have begun to cache again and qualifying for challenges has been a hallmark of our geocaching career leading us on many adventures.

Have you cloned them already? I can't seem to find the cloned checkers.

Hi, the good news is that first cache published!

The bad news is that I can't make the last 4 Challenge checkers work.

It's taken me all day to figure it out, but here is what happens. I copy the HTML from the correct link and paste it into the cache edit. I then save and preview and all is well. Then I add a few lines of text below the checker, save and preview and the checker reverts to HTML. It looks like this:

Your response should look like ours and be pasted into your log.

If you do not qualify now, but think you might later, post a note on the cache page. Log the cache only when the checker shows you do qualify.

I have tried deleting the challenge checker HTML Going back to the source GC#, recopying the link and pasting it again, but the stubborn HTML does not magically revert to the pretty checker. What am I doing wrong?

When you paste the HTML into the description, make sure it's set to source editing (green button above the text area).
