I am hoping you will be able to create a checker for a challenge to find at least 20 multi caches on any one calendar day.

Unfortunately this type of challenge is now against the rules:

"Time-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Example, Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc. (new 2016)"

If you mean the geocaching calender mm-dd , the challenge would be allowed because there is no time limit..
However your best calender date is 06-25 with 15 different GCcodes

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. That's a nice loophole really, for most people the reality is that they will do it in the spirit of the old rules (challenging themselves to find it in a single day) as the alternative is waiting for another year before they can complete the challenge, but there is no actual time limit as you say.
