Re: 10 countries in Europe

we need a checker for the challenge : min 1 cache in 10 different countries in Europe.

Please confirm thee country list as groundspeak has a different definition of countries in Europe.
Also wikipedia allows Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia in Europe because a part is in that continent

What about Gibraltar? Groundspeak regards it as an own country...

In wikipedia the Isle of Mann, Guersey, Jersey and Gibraltar are seen as the UK.

That's why it's difficult to make a checker for Europe and I have asked comment from the owner of the challenge.

Project-GC's definition of Europe is:

I am not saying it's more correct than anything else, just throwing yet another definition into the mix. :) The good thing though is that it uses the same country definitions as Geocaching.com. For example Aland Islands being its own country.

This is primarily (only?) used for the maps in Profile stats. Therefore we have chosen to include countries that geographically are in both Europe and Asia (Russia, Turkey).

What is the situation with this checker, is the challenge going to be published or can it be cancelled?
