Sorry, this is not allowed under guideline 9:

Quote
Not acceptable
Time-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Example, Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc.

So when I ran the checker it included Lost and Found Event & Lab Caches (See Below). I didnt think that these were allowed to be used for this type of challenge. But seeing as they are can the checker be changed to the following:

(GC8ZMFC) - To Claim This Cache As Found You Must Find 13x Different Cache Types (Including All Event Types and Grand Fathered Cache Types)

Cache In Trash Out Event - GC6B1DF / 14th CITO Week - 2016 / 2016-04-16
Earthcache - GC1H9MC / Gibraltar Rocks / 2015-03-30
Event Cache - GC5RJDT / May the 4th (-1) in Canberra / 2015-05-03
Lab Cache - 4da0ca3d-c482-4204-a189-ab06bbab80c5 / Nano Maze / 2017-11-18
Letterbox Hybrid - GCXT3K / Isaacs Post Office / 2015-05-13
Lost and Found Event Cache - GC8HM4P / Winter Solstice 2020 - the year that wasn't / 2020-08-29
Mega-Event Cache - GC6GFDX / The Alexandra Event 2017 / 2017-11-19
Multi-cache - GC1Y7E0 / Tank Valley / 2015-03-23

You can not specify them but you are allowed to use them in your results just like Locationless (Reverse) Cache and Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration

Notes from the peanut gallery: Lost and Found Event Cache = Community Events, which won't be around forever, so can't actually be part of the challenge requirements (hence rather drop from 13 to 12). Lab caches can count as a type in these type of challenges, but not as a requirement. In other words, if you have it, it can count, but you can't specify that it must be one of the types.

So I am allowed to have the following:

(GC8ZMFC) - To Claim This Cache As Found You Must Find ANY 13x Different Cache Types

as long as I do not specify what cache types can be used to get the 13x types its ok ??? Confused & trying to follow the rules ???

The crux comes in with rule 8 of the challenge cache guidelines:

Attainable: Challenge caches need to be attainable at any time.

This means anybody new to the game must be able to qualify regardless of whether they register today, tomorrow, next week, next month or even 2 years from now. Hence the number of cache types must be a careful balance. A lot of the older cache types are not available to new users hence it can't be dictated that they must find these types. Also, some types are not allowed to be specified as per rule 10:

Source of Criteria: Not Acceptable: Trackable, Benchmarking, Waymarking logs, or specifying Lab Cache finds.

However, lab caches are allowed for some challenges, eg calendar related ones (without dictating that the type must be included).

Thanks for the advice guys.

I have left the challenge as the Following

(GC8ZMFC) - To Claim This Cache As Found You Must Find ANY 11x Different Cache Types (This Can Include All Past and Present Cache Types)

The checker is good

Thanks
