Re: GC51WYB - 1 full month with non-traditional caches, 5 types

[Resolved] GC51WYB - 1 full month with non-traditional caches, 5 types

From the cache page:

So you don't have to find ONLY non-traditionals. AND you don't have to do it all in November. Here are the rules.

Find non-traditional caches for 30 consecutive days.
Those consecutive days must have the 1st date of a calendar month and the 28th dat of the same calendar month in that order. So, January 31st - March 1st would be acceptable, for example. December 1st - December 30th would also be acceptable as long as you wish me happy birthday on the 30th (you don't actually have to). Technically November 30th - December 29th would also be acceptable, but c'mon.
During your non-traditional month, you must find at least 5 different icons. All icons count - Events, mega events, etc.

I can't see any way to do this with any existing script, so a new script will be needed.

What you mean with "but c'mon"? So, nov 30 to dec 29 is valid or is not valid?

Not valid. The streak needs to include the 1st of the month through the 30th of the month. February should be excluded for now, until I can verify with the cache owner.

Further clarification, February is ok to be included, but it only counts as 28 (or 29) of the 30 required days. And thanks for doing this!

In the fist request you have wrote and in the original listing is:
> Those consecutive days must have the 1st date of a calendar month and the 28th dat of the same calendar month in that order.

So, not day 30, but day 28 must be included, so November 30th - December 29th should be ok.
I've checked the listing too, it's 28. So I don't understand the last sentence with "but c'mom".
I thing that it's ok, however I've ask the owner, I'm waiting to his reply.

great, I've got the reply from cache owner, now the rules are clear

It's valid. This is a "spirit of the rule" kind of thing. The idea is to have one calendar month filled with daily nontraditionals. But the rules at the time required specific guidelines like that. So it's fine if someone qualifies like that.

So I'll write the checker ASAP

It's done

one logged geocacher does not fulfill the challenge, however seems that the checker works fine.
