Status tags on the forum
June 01, 2016 04:59PM
We have just released a new feature for the forum which we are beta testing. It's only available for the "Checker request" forum, and that's also the plan.

Every new post gets its subject prefixed with [New] in blue.

Moderators that answers the post can choose a new status for the topic. I hope the statuses are self explanatory. The idea is that it should be easier to get an overview of all of the requests.

The tag status can also be changed by editing a post in the thread. But if replying, it's very easy to do it at the same time.

There are currently 29 moderators that can access this feature. It's pretty much based on those who has been most active with challenge checkers the last 1-2 years.

The statuses are:
* New: Default status that every new post in the Checker request forum should get.
* Work in progress: If set, someone (the one setting it) has chosen to solve this problem. No need to set it if you will solve it within minutes, but it would make sense if it's something that takes hours or days for whatever reason.
* New script required: You know the system well enough to say that it's likely a tag isn't enough, but you have no plans of writing a script yourself, at least not right now.
* New method required: This is not solvable with the API given from Project-GC. If we get several requests that needs the same data we could consider adding a new API methods.
* Resolved: The requester has gotten what he/she wanted, and preferably acknowledged that.
* Awaiting feedback: There is information or data missing from the requester. Could also be that the requester has been asked to check with the reviewers if this actually is aligned with the guidelines.
* Cancelled: The requester has regretted himself/herself. Clearly against guidelines. Been waiting for feedback for several weeks. Technically impossible, even with (reasonable) new API methods.

There are now two archive forums to which completed threads has been moved. We will either merge those, or remove them both if these tags work out.
