Well, 2 days ago I ran the checker for someone who didn';t qualify and it didn't show me that, but now it does! So maybe I was dreaming. So it's all good now thanks. Rickby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Not quite. For States that I've NOT found the oldest, I should see a line like this: *** State: Oldest found GCxxxxx yyyy-mm-dd - Oldest available GCxxxxx yyyy-mm-dd This is the output of the checker for GC9DRAR, and it has lines such as this for TX counties where I've not found the oldest. (and I want it to do the same for states). *** Bexar County (TX): Oldest found GC2B73 2by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I need a checker for this one. To qualify for this Challenge, all you need to do is find the oldest cache in 10 or more of the 50 United States + DC. NOTE: If you found a now archived cache hidden BEFORE the currently identifed oldest active cache - THAT COUNTS! Can the checker be cloned from this checker (which I really like): https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9DRAR/61940 (Texas Counby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Well there is no guarantee that that is correct. So I ask if the script can be changed to allow for caches hidden on the same date to be treated the same?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Is anyone going to address my issue?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The Problem is with Burnet County. It says I don't have it BUT *** Burnet County (TX): Oldest found GC21C0 2001-10-06 - Oldest available GC21BE 2001-10-06 The date of my Oldest Found is the same date as the Oldest available. Shouldn't this county be one I am given credit for ?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Never mind. Looks like the CO is archiving this cache and starting fresh. something to do with a cloned tag.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
GC9D6A9 - The challenge is to find a cache in all 50 U.S. states. I have 36. But it says I qualify. For some reason it's checking for regions outside the U.S. I have found required number of caches (1) in each of 64 regions (required number of regions: 50). Finds in required regions are listed here: showing some of the US Regitons below. **Alberta** (Canada) (http://www.geoby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
It looks good, thanks!by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The checker needs to check that the cacher has found a MYSTERY cache with a DATE PLACED/HIDDEN for each calendar day of the year. Except Feb 29 of course. At the moment I am one date short (June 7).by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It looks perfect - Thanks!by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
GC8QARV - BadgeGen v4 Gemstone Emerald Level Challenge Now that Challenge Caches can be identified by attribute, I'd like to add the Achiever Badge for Challenges to the qualifying criteria. So there will now be 31 badges instead of 30 that count. Since I have them listed alphabetically, this will be number 1 in the list. 1. The Achiever - Awarded for logging Challenge caches.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I like that suggestion. I will allow both checkers (one for owner and one for placed by) and change the description. Regards, DrPflugby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Oh, can we have the checker to check for either? either the 'placed by' or the 'owner' field? and I will change the text of the cache page to make this allowance?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
cacher dawnandgary should qualify for this AlphaNumeric Cacher Name Challenge, GC3R8C3, but the checker says they are lacking a "7" (cache owner name starting with a "7"). But they found https://coord.info/GC1XR30 on 12/26/2010 and the owner is 7Hammer. Something is not right. Maybe the checker is looking at "Placed by" instead of "Owner" ???? thanks, all is good now.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
https://coord.info/GC8QARV Due to an unnoticed error with the checker counting points for the "Caching Veteran" badge, the threshold rquirement for this Challenge has been lowered from 90 to 86. This was noticed and corrected on 6/28/2020. Can the threshold now be changed back to 90 points as it was originally? Thanks.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I will. We'll see if if anything happens. Thanks for the new checkerby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It works. BUT I am not the CO, so never mind I guess.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The checker is checking only for US states as qualifying regions. But the requirements also state that other countries (any country except the United States) also count as a region towards qualifying. Can that be fixed?by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks again. It is good. You can mark as resolved.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The reviewer asked me to make it easier because I couldn't come up with a list of 10 cachers in my area within 100 miles who already qualify for this challenge. So, I'd like to lower the Texas county requirement from 7 counties to 6. Then I will resubmit for publication. NOTE: In case it matters, the name of this Challenge is now "The Texas County 7x6 Challenge"by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I spoke too soon and couldn't come up with a list of 10 cachers who already qualify for this challenge. So, I'd like to lower the Texas county requirement from 7 counties to 6. thanks. all is good. The Checker checking for 7 counties is perfect.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
would it be possible to add a line indicating the total number of counties that have the required seven cache types? For example, if I had 10, could it show that I had 10 of the seven required. The reason I ask is because I may want to increase the number of counties required to qualify for this challenge, and I don't know who around here (including myself) has 7 types in all the the TX cby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Texas County 7x7 Challenge. Need a new checker to check for this: "Find one each of the most common geocache types (Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Wherigo, Letterbox, Earthcache, and Virtual) in seven different Texas counties."by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
thanks. That explains it. please close this request.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Can this checker be validated? The Challenge is for finds of regulars hidden before May 4, 2008. The Checker says I need only 6 squares of the 81, but I'm pretty sure I need a lot more than that. Example, a 2.5/1 .... checker says I don't need one but I can't find where I've found a 2.5/1 REGULAR that was hidden before May 4, 2008.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect, thanks so much for the quick turnaround.by DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I had to change things around due to a limit on challenges in the same same area based on the same criteria. So now I have only 3 instead of 6. Can you change things around to match the correct checker with each of these 3 Challenges. 100 Challenge Caches = https://coord.info/GC8ZHBF 300 Challenge Caches = https://coord.info/GC8ZHZZ 500 Challenge Caches = https://coord.info/GC8ZHZXby DrPflug - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
