Reviewers are not Geocaching HQ, I'm talking about the actual Geocaching HQ. As I said my experience is that they will correct the date. No, the edit is not possible to make by the owner or by reviewers. Your opinions regarding reviewers and Geocaching HQ seems irrelevant to the issue so I will not comment on that.by Pleu - Miscellaneous
As I said, there was a bug previously that forced the date change when editing an older cache, the caches should be reported to Geocaching HQ since they are the only one that can restore the date.by Pleu - Miscellaneous
The easiest way is probably to look through all the posts from your account in the forum since the search isn't perfect. How ever I believe this would be the post your looking for: https://project-gc.com/forum/read?11,67712,67712#msg-67712by Pleu - Checker requests
My recommendation would be to inform Geocaching HQ about the specific caches that are causing the issues here. There was a bug that forced people to change dates for a while and my experience is that Geocaching HQ generally corrects the dates on the caches that had their dates edited during that time if they are made aware of them. For the checker itself I would contact the tagger, which in thby Pleu - Miscellaneous
You need to read the guidelines. You're not allowed to base a challenge on the cache title in any way and you're not allowed to have a challenge were the CO doesn't qualify. Quote6. Verification Challenge cache owners must show that they have met the challenge. Quote10. That GCcode is for a traditional cache in Australia. You need to contact vogelbird with the correct GCcode so he can update the checker and enable it.by Pleu - Miscellaneous
Just use the Needed Found Dates-tool instead, it was made to do this: https://project-gc.com/Tools/NeededFoundDatesby Pleu - Miscellaneous
I believe this challenge would need a script extension to be able to work fully since I can't find a multi tester script that can handle the first requirement. I don't like the idea of making a checker that checks for the four other requirements only since this will make it a checker that always fails. I've reached out to a script writer and asked for an extension.by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please read the guidelines before requesting a checker, this concept is against the "9. Time-Limited"-section. (Bold by me.) Quote9. Time-Limited Time-limited caching: as in some number of finds per day, week, month, or year. Examples: Busy Day, 50 finds in a day, 500 finds in a month, etc. Quote9. Please read the guidelines before requesting a checker, this concept is against two parts of the "9. Time-Limited"-section. Quote9. Time-Limited Requiring finds on February 29th. Quote9. Time-Limited Requiring more than one find on any day or calendar date, even if cumulative. Example: find 5 caches for every date of the Finds for Each Day of the Year grid.by Pleu - Checker requests
Currently no, but that would be because they have been reported and fixed. I've seen 14 traditional caches with the attribute since the attribute was introduced (I keep a list of those I report) and two of those were corrected today.by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I disabled the tag, it's against the guidelines to have multiple checkers tied to one cache page. (For the record there has been bugs previously that allowed traditional caches to get the attribute so enforcing unknown cache type in the checker does make sense.)by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I moved this to misc as this seemed the appropriate category for this request. I don't believe the overlap between the knowledge required to write challenge checker tags and challenge checker scripts vs the web development skills and resources is as big as you'd believe. Also I'd advice anybody interested in this project to start their discussions with Geocaching HQ before writiby Pleu - Miscellaneous
Specifying that they are in different countries is still a specification.by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
You need to read the guidelines, there is no way to set up a challenge like this without using either a bookmark list (not allowed) or the cache names (not allowed). https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
You're missing this part of the guidelines: QuoteNot acceptable Specifying any element of a cache page (type, rating, etc.) or find count (above one per day) required during a streak.by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
You don't need a checker, there's a native site tool for that. https://project-gc.com/Tools/NeededFoundDatesby Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Checkers used for "personal reference" are listed in the wiki, and there are multiple options for size-calendar. You can find these here: https://project-gc.com/w/Tools_in_the_checker_system You can also just use the tool designed for this which you find at https://project-gc.com/Tools/NeededFoundDatesby Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Map of challenge caches and/or knowing your general area is usually the best approach. https://project-gc.com/Tools/Challenges?mapby Pleu - Miscellaneous
@bmuzzin Honestly, polygons would probably just make things worse because you would have to use county-borders from before geocaching started which would just be confusing for players. I don't think the CO thought that statement through when placing the challenge really... I'd say the most reasonable way to do this would be to use all the counties that are fully enclosed within tby Pleu - Checker requests
I think you need to provide additional details of what isn't working here. I ran my own name and got red as expected, I ran your name and got green as expected. All of the checkers ran in under 10 seconds. I'm not seeing anything wrong with them.by Pleu - Miscellaneous
@bmuzzin The issue is that it says "You made it..." for a failed result. Failed would mean I haven't made it so it makes no sense to say "You made it.." then. :)by Pleu - Miscellaneous
@vogelbird How would it solve anything to make a new checker that excludes the same caches that the reviewer had issues with?by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I don't see a point in "fixing" something that's basically a legacy tool or to fix anything that ain't broken. It works as intended, it isn't an issue, dev-time is better spent else where.by Pleu - Challenge checker exceptions
Being a native speaker I'd say it's implied that the caches needs to be different. If you've named yourself zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I'd suggest skipping the challenge or changing your name. :)by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
That's your interpretation of the data. It's just a guess from you that these people have stopped geocaching. You have no real evidence of this being the situation. An other guess could be that not everybody checks this tool daily/weekly/monthly or however often you check it. There's no harm in having people on the moderator team that aren't voting weekly since they could sby Pleu - Challenge checker exceptions
I don't see why it would be necessary to remove or add people just because not everybody have voted on every exceptions. There aren't many caches added nowadays and there are still enough moderators to get the job done. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and all that.by Pleu - Challenge checker exceptions
Were is the number 1282 comming from? Like DeepDiggingMole said if you add the "Added challenges: 864" and "Removed challenges: 419" together that makes 1283 so there should be 1283 in the list? It's also easy to see that not every mod have voted on every challenge based on the statistics: With 13262 upvotes and 5189 downvotes that gives a total of 18451 votes, spreadby Pleu - Challenge checker exceptions
@bmuzzin I ran a couple of people through it and I believe you're giving false positives for people that have the same letter multiple times in their nickname. For example you would get green for both your Z's if you had 3 Z-caches but according to the challenge you would need 6 of those since you have two Z's.by Pleu - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
