Thank you, vogelbird. What is the best way to reach out to bmuzzin then?by sapien - Checker requests
Howdy all - I didn't realize this challenge would be such a hot topic. ;-) And so yes, ideally I would like the 7 same cache types to be used for both the found date and hidden date grids. If that's possible. That being said, I've done some testing with the checker that was created by vogelbird (the output and look of the grids is awesome, BTW), and it appears everyone, whby sapien - Checker requests
Hi again - Could I please get a checker created for my new challenge cache GCAJ04E? I consider my new challenge to be similar (sort of) to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA2KRJ/73404 so perhaps it could be re-used in part for my new checker. Essentially my new challenge uses day of the week, instead of the months of the year. My new challenge requires people to find all 7 cache sizes (micby sapien - Checker requests
Hi again - as a follow-up for this thread, the good news is all 4 of the challenge checkers did eventually their difficulty levels back a few days after my last post. However, the bad news is 2 of the difficulty levels have disappeared again since. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAF6CT/87979 disappeared on Dec 20th and https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA2KRJ/73404 dropped off on Dec 26tby sapien - Miscellaneous
Looks good! I tested against a couple of "valid" qualifiers and the other one and the results are as expected. Thank you for your help! Please close this request as resolved.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sorry for the unintentional confusion. Glad to see the confusion has been cleared up already. Thanks. EDIT: Just changing the wording to clear up some more potential confusion from my reply. My bad, again. :-/by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Name has been PMed. Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Do I need to wait for the data or checker to refresh or should the change be immediate? I've tested again and it appears the rogue cache is still being counted. :-(by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there. I was wondering if I could get this challenge checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAB5ZC/79317 modified to exclude the caches from this bookmark list - https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMAFMJR. It appears at least one person has used caches from that list to qualify for the challenge, which I would consider "not in the spirit" of the challenge. Thank you.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Tested as much as I can so far (I maxxed out my 10 checker runs for the day) and it looks good. Thank you so much for your quick turnaround. Please feel free to close the request as resolved.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - Could I please get a challenge checker created for GCAN42X? The challenge is to find the "Available 24/7" attribute on every day of the year (Jan 1 - Dec 31). Leap Day is excluded for this challenge; it is classified as a "nice to have" but does not count towards the 365 days. This is not a streak challenge either. The challenge can be completed over any numberby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for the quick around! Tested and it looks like it's working great. Please close this request as resolved. Thank you again! :-)by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - could I please get a checker created for GCAK0XM? The challenge is to find 13 caches that have been hidden on any Fri the 13th. The find date is irrelevant for this challenge. All cache types can be used for this challenge except for adventure lab caches, benchmarks, and any events (regular, CITO, mega, giga, HQ block party, HQ celebration, lost and found/community celebrationby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for the explanation. I was just confused and concerned when 4 of the checker difficulty numbers suddenly disappeared. I'll just keep waiting then until they get auto-(re)generated again.by sapien - Miscellaneous
Starting sometime last week, I noticed some of the checkers for my challenges are suddenly missing their challenge difficulty numbers (the skull and crossbones number). Has anyone else noticed this is happening? It's happening on 4 of my challenges now - specifically https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA2KRJ/73404 https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAF6CT/87979 https://project-gc.com/Chby sapien - Miscellaneous

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could fix a typo in the output from this checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAR592/90655 I've found a Calendar with 365 dates filled with 'Tradiotional caches in Micro size' . on **365** different days of year and Calendar with 365 dates filled with 'Tradiotional caches in Micro size' . Sorry for taking so long to reply. The PGC checker results weren't matching my GSAK data but I finally figured out why so I'm good now. (PGC's "district" covers multiple municipalities for my locality.) I'm disappointed by the 2 county thing but I understand. Those cachers will just have to figure out what they're missing another way then. As long aby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Tested and everything looks great. As long as Feb 29 is not required (which is against the challenge rules), I'm good with this checker. I haven't been able to find any specific caches/cacher names to test the other caveats I wanted so I'll assume they are in place and working. Thank you for creating the checker. Please close this request.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again. Could I please get a checker built for GCAQ29V next? It requires cachers to find a cache on all 365 days of the year in the same municipality/county. Again the finds do not have to be sequential in any way so a consecutive day streak is not required for this challenge. I've found a pre-existing similar challenge already https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC954GD/57991 which myby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, could I please get a checker built for GCAR592? Essentially, the challenge is to find a traditional cache in micro size on all 365 days of the year. The finds do not have to be sequential in any way. In other words, a consecutive day streak is not required for this challenge. It is very similar to this pre-existing challenge - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9MVHD/73190. It apby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you very much for the clarifications. I've updated my cache description and cloned the existing checker for my challenge. Please close this request.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, could I please get a checker built for GCAF6CT? My challenge is almost identical to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAEJVB/81395, so much so that I'm considering cloning it. I already have permission from the CO to leverage his idea. However, before I do that (assuming I can clone the checker), I wanted to verify that the checker covers these "potentially extra" cby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for the information, vogelbird. This cacher is well over that threshold so that explains the time out issue. I've told him to go ahead and log the cache as a result. Please go ahead and close this issue as resolved as well. I shouldn't come across this issue too often and I'll update the description to make people aware of this time out issue. Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - I suspect I know what's going on but this checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAEV95/81762 is timing out for one local cacher when he runs it. I'm guessing it's because of his high find count and the checker just runs out of time to do all the math. Is there any way to extend the 'allowed' run time or is there some other way to optimize the code so itby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Whew! You had me worried for a bit there. :-0 Thanks. I've tested the checker and it looks good. I've tested it on a few cachers already and it appears to be running as designed. I was hoping to find some people 'on the bubble' to test out my caveats but I can't find anyone so far. Please close this request as resolved. Thanks again for all your help.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Interesting. However there is no time limited aspect to this challenge. The cacher can take as long as they want to complete it. And there are no specific streak or "order" requirements for it. This challenge is completely based on the mm/dd grid for caches' hidden date, not their found date. I've already discussed this with my local reviewer and they have approved it.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - could I please get a checker built that verifies if a cacher has filled in every day of their "mm/dd" hidden date calendar 4 times? The cache GC code is GCAH044. Here's a number of caveats/clarifications for the challenge - There are no restrictions on when or whatever order the caches are found in, so whatever dates the caches are actually found on is irrelevantby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you! Tested and confirmed fixed now.by sapien - Miscellaneous
https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA2KRJ/73404 This checker was working correctly as recently as yesterday potentially but now it's started returning a 'caught exception' error msg. It appears to be happening to multiple people (including me) running the checker, against multiple cacher names. Could someone please have a look to see what's going on?
