Whew! You had me worried for a bit there. :-0 Thanks. I've tested the checker and it looks good. I've tested it on a few cachers already and it appears to be running as designed. I was hoping to find some people 'on the bubble' to test out my caveats but I can't find anyone so far. Please close this request as resolved. Thanks again for all your help.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Interesting. However there is no time limited aspect to this challenge. The cacher can take as long as they want to complete it. And there are no specific streak or "order" requirements for it. This challenge is completely based on the mm/dd grid for caches' hidden date, not their found date. I've already discussed this with my local reviewer and they have approved it.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - could I please get a checker built that verifies if a cacher has filled in every day of their "mm/dd" hidden date calendar 4 times? The cache GC code is GCAH044. Here's a number of caveats/clarifications for the challenge - There are no restrictions on when or whatever order the caches are found in, so whatever dates the caches are actually found on is irrelevantby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you! Tested and confirmed fixed now.by sapien - Miscellaneous
https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA2KRJ/73404 This checker was working correctly as recently as yesterday potentially but now it's started returning a 'caught exception' error msg. It appears to be happening to multiple people (including me) running the checker, against multiple cacher names. Could someone please have a look to see what's going on? Thanks.by sapien - Miscellaneous
So sorry for all the confusion. I get it now. I didn't realize the checker was so granular and counted actual hours. All is good now. Thanks for making the adjustment and your patience dealing with all my requests and questions. Thank you for all your assistance and creating the checker. Please close this request as resolved now.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Ah, thank you for explaining. Smart that the checker compensates for daylight savings. If it's meant to be that way, I'm good with that. Just curious though - Wouldn't daylight savings just add x number of leap days to the age though, meaning "whole" days still (or 24 hours) though? Or am I missing something? Thank you again for being so accommodating for all myby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for trying. I was worried that was the cause of the delay. I'll remove it from my challenge.criteria. This helps those people who adopt caches now so it's not a bad thing. :-) I just wanted to confirm the final link with GC code is - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAEV95/81762 Is there an explanation as to why the "age" total is a decimal number (vs anby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
If it's too much trouble or work to exclude cachers finding their own caches from the checker, please let me know and I can exclude that criteria from my challenge. Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes! Thank you for modifying the script to handle the bookmark list and duplicate finds. I like that it uses the "first" aka oldest log as well. Please exclude the GPS Mazes caches. If they're logged based on hidden date, they're exactly like an event and will have an age of zero days then, which makes them irrelevant to the final total anyways. Thank you for the quick turnaround. I've tested the checker a few times and it looks good so far. I'll test further, as any other changes are made. Firstly, whew! Thank you for figuring out why there's a difference between the numbers I was getting from the GC98CP4 checker and manually. I'm glad there was a logical explanation. That never even occurred to me though froby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, I was wondering if I could get a checker built for GCAEV95. My challenge 'sorta' exists already. It's similar to https://coord.info/GC98CP4 but I'm using different "units" (days vs years) and a different quantity (6 million vs 10,000). Essentially my challenge calculates the age of each cache (in days) that you've found (date found minus hidden daby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi there, could I please get a challenge checker built for GCAB5ZC that requires a cacher to have found at least 1111 caches in one country, 111 in a 2nd, 11 in a 3rd, and finally 1 more in a 4th country? Lab caches, benchmarks, or locationless caches can not be used for this challenge. Thank you.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Tested and everything looks good. Please close the request as completed. Thank you again for your prompt turnaround. :-)by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there, could I please get a checker built that requires enough caches found which also include the following attributes? 4 MAY REQUIRE SWIMMING attributes, and 180 BICYCLES attributes, and either 42 MEDIUM HIKE (1-10km long) or 4 LONG HIKE (> 10 km long) attributes All cache types except adventure lab caches and benchmarks can be used for this challenge. Still no skulls now after 3+ days since your reply so I'll log a service ticket now. Thanks for following up. It's always interesting to learn how things work in the background.by sapien - Miscellaneous
I assume the colour scheme can not be changed so I've published this challenge. This request can be closed as well. Thanks for all your help.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi there, I recently published 3 new challenge caches. Normally after about 2 weeks (or sooner), the challenge difficulty rating (the skull and crossbones number) auto-populates. It's been about 3 weeks now since I've published and still none of my checkers have a rating yet. I also checked another recently published challenge as well; same problem. Thank you. Hidden Date is working great now. Is there any chance the colour scheme for the output can be changed as per my previous msg? I think the problem is mostly noticeable when you qualify for the challenge but just barely (183+ days range); then it could look confusing. If it's possible, please let me know when I can test the change(s). Otherwise, if not, I will make do aby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sorry, one more piece of feedback I was given. Is there any way to make the "qualifying" date squares have a green background? Apparently the solid red "missing" squares/dates stand out and they looks like those are the "completed" dates instead of the white ones. Not a deal breaker in my mind but I just thought I'd ask. Thank you. Could you please confirm if this checker uses Placed Date or Found Date? I suspect the checker is using Found Date. Unless there is a good reason to use Found Date (and if it's possible), could the checker please use Placed Date (the actual date of the event) instead? I know that's the default "by default" now (ie you can't change the date used for eventsby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect! Thank you. You can close this request now. Both checkers appear to be working as requested and their output matches my profile data anyways. :-) Thank you for all your time and effort, and patience putting up with me. ;-)by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi there - There is already a checker built for GCA20AG - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA20AG/73352 but unfortunately that challenge was denied by HQ. I've come up with a different challenge now that has been tentatively been approved by my local reviewers already (but no feedback from HQ as far as I know). Thank you for all your time and effort building these checkers. This checker looks great https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9WT1A/76122 but I no longer qualify for the challenge. :-( I did qualify with the previous checker (just barely though). I wanted to verify with the previous checker (I believe it's https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9WT1A/75760) but it's disabled now so I caby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Well, that was an unexpected way to view the data. I never would have thought of that but it seems to work. I've done a few manual verification checks and it appears the data seems to match the numbers I've calculated (roughly) so it appears the extra criteria are in place. Thank you. My ideal scenario would be to use the checker output format from GC9P0GZ for both the GC9WT1A chaby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for making the changes but after seeing the checker output, I think my preference would be to use the format of the GC9P0GZ checker, assuming it's not too much trouble, and assuming that checker can be adapted to be used for the other challenge GCA4QC6 as well. So please let me know if it's possible. I know your time is precious and I can appreciate that you are doing all thisby sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I have some feedback about this checker as well. I've added the details to my reply of the other checker though. Is it better to leave this request open or should the 2 requests be combined into that other thread? I don't mind either way but I don't know what workflow processes work best for you. Please let me know. Thanks.by sapien - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again - As noted in my reply to the GCA4QC6 post, these comments may be applicable to it as well. Thank you for extending the script. I'm happy to see the functionality is working great from what I can tell. I manually did the calculations for this challenge on my own profile and it's nice to see the numbers match (though I just barely qualify for this challenge :-b ).
