The script owner (Rikitan) is able to remove it, otherwise you could submit a support request to the project-gc team.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I don't follow your logic there. Each time the checker runs it calculates the current list of 100 oldest active caches, any cache (archived or not) older than the 100th active oldest will count towards the challenge - as caches get archived the date will gradually move forward.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
That works, you can exclude archived caches from the api call, look at the hidden date of the 100th and then accept any cache with a date <= to that.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
In my experience reviewers will insist of archived caches being included - the rules say past finds must count. What you could do is rephrase the challenge to find 50 caches hidden on or before the current 100th oldest cache. Though that may need Target to fix his script (or another script be used).by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Looks like it needs fixing by vogelbird if you message him I'm sure he'll do it quickly.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
What you are allowed to do is to require combinations of finds on a particular calendar date - so in theory they could find 3 multi's on the 1/1/2012 and an additional one on 1/1/2017 to meet that part of the criteria.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Also rule 11: 11. Specific Lists: A challenge based on elements under the cache owner’s primary control is not acceptable: examples, my favorites, my caches, bookmark lists, caches by this owner, or this group.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
This isn't possible, there is no way to determine what caches were available within 3 miles of the posted coordinates.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
It is against the rules to have challenges that involve hiding caches - you can use finds.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

It is probably worth pointing out that the challenge checker rules (http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=206#timeLimited) prohibit new challenges that are time limited. What you would be allowed is the challenge where 200 mysteries and at least 1 traditional have been found on the same calander day (that is someone may do it in 24 hours, or they may find 100 in one year on tby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for the very quick response, seems to be working now. (And yes you were right the script heavily uses bookmark lists)by mole125 - Checker news
Any ideas if this would cause issues with existing scripts? My 13 step checker (http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC4R8ZT/187) seems to have stopped working - I've tweaked the config slightly but no code changes recently. It fails very quickly but there is absolutely no errors or output of any kind which makes debugging hard.by mole125 - Checker news
I was intrigued to see how I performed but looks like the checker is disabled. I guess whether cache types or icons is used is probably partly a matter of history and if you are used to thinking about caching based on what you see on the map (different icons) or in the cache description more. I wouldn't be surprised if the terminolgy from gc hq has morphed over time so older cachers mayby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It is possible, but (unless someone else corrects me) it is almost certain that a new script is required. I believe the challenge is within the rules but so as not to waste someones time it is worth you getting an initial review from your local reviewer that they would be happy to accept your criteria. Once you have got a response post it here and someone may, if you are lucky, choose to writeby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
You could have a requirement that the counties be from at least 2 different uk countries (groups of regions to be precise) which will get the effect you want, however I imagine that a custom script may be needed to achieve that, where as existing scripts will definitely be able to do the 5x100 version.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The fundamental issue is we are all volunteers and tend to pick up challenge checkers which are either easy (ie the script already exist and just need a tag adding), we have a vested interest in (they are local to us), or are technically interesting (present a fun challenge to try and implement a solution for), we've got limited time so there is no way anybody can pick up everything. The secby mole125 - Miscellaneous
Of course you could tweak it to just be a specific target e.g. at least 5000 finds and 5 loops of the D/T grid - but remember you need to qualify for it as well.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Feel free to check with a reviewer but I don't believe this is permitted under the rules. It is likely to violate rule 14 (http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=206#positiveCriteria) Positive caching criteria, as it penalizes finding just low D/T combinations and effectively requires a ratio of each of the different D/T combos.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
As it isn't published nobody can see the cache page but you. You therefore need to tell us what the requirements of the challenge are.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It looks like the counties have been updated for switzerland. Unfortunately this means all the names have changed e.g. it is now "Basel (BS)". If you are a premium member you can see the new list here: http://project-gc.com/Tools/MapCounties?profile_name=mole125&country=Switzerland&submit=Filter Once you work out the correct values if you let vogelbird know I'm sure he&by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Totally impossible. Even if we had access to the previous/next logs it would be impossible to accurately detect when the cache was found together or not (e.g. "Arrived a few minutes after mole125 was there" vs "arrived a few minutes after mole125 and found the cache together").by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Just to confirm the requirement is to find 80 caches in total, from at least 20 different countries (80 in total). Not find 80 caches in each of 20 countries (1600 caches!)by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
An important difference between this and the 13 steps requirements is this challenge prohibits finding any additional caches (other than events) on the day, in 13 steps you are allowed to find additional caches. The checker would also have to assume all micros are 'well hidden'. Because of this it will probably need a new script (or a patch to my existing script) and either the nameby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
What you are forgetting is there are some caches which will be extreme outliers from the average - for instance Carnatic has found Geist des Hagen which has 5438 points alone.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It would certainly be possible however I would urge caution. Firstly is is probably worth you reading this FAQ on how elevation is arrived at: http://project-gc.com/Home/FAQ#2384662308 Basically the elevation of the cache is a complete guess, it assumes that the cache is at ground level, and then guesses the height based on a few data points that could be up to 90m away, any features like ditby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
The challenge is possible to code, however it probably violates rule 10 (http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=206#criteria), not allowed: Challenges based on user-defined mapping polygons. It may be worth checking with your local reviewer as they may interpret the rules differently. It may also be possible to redefine the challenge using county polygons as an approximaby mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I've updated the limit so let me know if there are any other changes you want,by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I've created a checker here: http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6PNNW I've set the threshold to 500 caches, (that's a bit below what I have) though you have 1965 so let me know if you want the threshold changed.by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Unfortunately this isn't allowed under the rules, in particular rule 10 Sources of criteria (http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=206#criteria): "Not acceptable; Trackable, Benchmarking, Waymarking logs, or specifying Lab Cache finds."by mole125 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
