I believe I'm authorized to create new scripts - at least I passed the test sometime ago. I've only every played with tags so far though. Looking at the bigcall checker script, the list of charter member names is embedded in the script as a local list. It seems like making a new script from that one would be little more than replacing the list of names with CAA finisher names. Moving tby rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes and no. If the tag had a list of names as I recall it once did but now it uses an internal data source of PGC. I want a script that takes a tag listing cachers names. Then I can amend the list every year or two when one more person finishes CAA.by rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I thought I could clone one of the Bigcall checkers for a tool to see how many hider names in a list you had found. Alas, the list of charter members has now been integrated into PGC data. I know such a checker won't be allowed by Challenge rules. I want it to show Cache Across America finishers (49 at this point) how many other finishers caches they have found. So the tool would have aby rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I'm setting up a checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA9GHJ/78261 for 5 finds in each of the 58 California Counties. I cloned a similar one https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9F8H8/62818 which does 10 caches in 9 counties. When I run it on my account, it lists the 9 counties as missing, which is correct. What is the best way to test an alternative Tag config without perturbing the use of the existing checker?by rragan - Miscellaneous
Would moving QXZ rules first help? They would pickup rarer cases first and then the rest of the rules just look for leading letter. I'm not sure there is a simple perfect checker. My idea probably lets more first letter matches happen for those with X embedded. However it has issues too. Consider, finds for only regions Box, Cow, Six, Severn. My idea picks Box for X, Cow for C and Six foby rragan - Miscellaneous
The history on the script seems to be here: https://project-gc.com/forum/read?11,10069,10591 I think it is failing because the regex for B (and most other letters) has "starts with letter" followed by 1 or more letters that are not QZX followed by the open paren for region. Bexar fails the test because it has an X in the middle. Can the test just be the Starts with part for all but Qby rragan - Miscellaneous
For user 614Buckeye, https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7V6AB/36287 does not show users finds for Bexar county inTexas as a B despite at least 1 trad in the county. My first thought is the checker chose to use this county for the X but that's not it either. Ideas?by rragan - Miscellaneous
https://coord.info/GC1M0M0 Golden State DeLorme Challenge There is a checker for Northern California DeLorme but not for the whole state one. I can provide the per page coordinates needed to define the polygons. Since Northern California exists already, I'm hoping this would be easy to build from that. Is there an appetite for doing this? So the 360° challenge checker/helper is a special case? https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5AKCY/25414 I guess I'm asking if the helper aspect could be added.by rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
The current checker, https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCHANH/16109, shows pages that need a find. It would be even more helpful if after showing the page number, clicking the number would show eligible caches in that page. This would be like the behavior of 360° challenge checkers. I stumbled on this script first. The title of your link talks about trackables and I had forgotten about using filter to get attributes. https://project-gc.com/Tools/Challenges?edit&addTag&scriptId=2957 Thanksby rragan - Miscellaneous
I spotted a scriot for 365 calendar of an attribute but no published caches using it. Is there any issue with such a challenge or maybe folks are having trouble qualifying themselves?by rragan - Miscellaneous

Thanks, that works great. I nice writeup of the multi-test checker with examples would be great but it might end up being a small novel. Cheers, Richby rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I thought I could figure out how to make this work but several stabs at it failed. The challenge is to find 50 caches in a list of islands in the world. I need to add a state, Hawaii, to that list but that mixes countries and a region/state. Here is the checker for only the islands part. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC99EMN/60071 which I do qualify (rragan) Another user, mblatch,by rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Looks good except can you exclude Locationless caches. This one showed up in my testing. GC5160 - Locationless (Reverse) Cache / Oregon / (335 finds). I assume Lab and Benchmark types are also excluded Thanks as it looks like it took a special script extension. Regards, Rich (rragan)by rragan - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I'm curious how the distance checker is compliant with challenge rules being based on data available on geocaching.com in case my reviewer objects to my using the checker. This is an example of a checker using distance. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC93JYK/57078 Geocaching.com has Distance to Finds data but it is only counts for bands of distance. Did you try it on your user or user Xnard for whom it still times out? I have found that users with 10k or more finds typically see a fast solution. They have so many options a solution shows up quickly.by rragan - Miscellaneous
Pretty much what I assumed was going on. She has a completed DT grid but not enough total finds to make hitting upon a solution likely. She told me she did it by hand but it took her several days to get a solution. My thoughts on it had been to sort the low number of finds DT cells and try to get them settled down and then continue with those with more finds leaving things like 1.5/1.5 for the enby rragan - Miscellaneous
This checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8H55N/47486 times out on user Xnard. She has fewer finds than folks it handles.
