When I put a "new" TB or GC code I can not seen if found trackable item was already found and logged. Example, when I discover TB stamp I can not be sure if I already logged this stamp before unless I check all the logs for this item or check my trackables moved/discovered statistics.

I have discovered a stamp-code some times, too. But the count is not increased, so it is not a problem..

But there is a way to find previous codes.

If you use the Discover Trackables Tool here on PGC you can look in your history.

Open the history Tab and then press all the + to open the tree.

Then you could use [STRG]+[F4] to search in your browser window for a code.

It is not the convieniest way to look it up, but it should work..

That is only for tractables that are logged from PGC and not logged on gc.com on with an app
Yes, i know. That's why i wrote "If you use the Discover Trackables Tool here on PGC you can look in your history." ;-)
thank you for your answer. it is one way to check your discovered codes. but I still think it would be better if we could see some sort of smile or something on trackable page like it is on cache page.
Well i think that is something that pgc cannot provide, but groundspeak has to build in the geocaching.com site. I don't know if the data from API would allow something like this for TB's..
The code used to log a TB called the Tracking Number or Tracking code. If am not mistaken you cant get it for logged TB:s in the API.
The TB reference code that is on the TB page is available.
You can get the reference code by tracking number in the API

But i think this is an non problem. If you fund the TB logg it as discovered because you did do it.  The TB owner will get another logg.

If the problem is that it take time to write an interesting log then i would suspect the the owner will appreciate a second good log as the first.

If you used a standard TB log with some use side script that hard part is writing the TB code and the date into the computer. And a check if logged before function exist there will be no work reduction. The TB code has to be entered and it would be easiest to add the date at the same time so no work reduction

There might be less spam log for stamp TB:s but if you own one you have to expect to get a lot of logs
I completely agree with you, Target. I don't care, if i log a TB twice or even six or ten times. I just wanted to give apneli an answer to his question, no matter, if it is useful or not.

It finding a TB again a problem. It is a discover log and you did discover it.
There is no recommendation to discover/move a TB more then once like finds on caches.
I am almost sure the TB star counts number of different TB:s and not number of logs.

It is perfectly done when you open cache page and you see yellow smile so I am asking if there is any other sign (maybe on project-gc, when you are logging large amount of trackable codes) also for trackable items to avoid unnecessary notes on trackable page?
No there is no function like that on pgc. And it it not visible on the tb side.
I see no problem in logging a TB again if you discoverer it again.

How often do you discover a large amount of trackables?
The only case i know is if someone creates a list of TB codes and other people that have not seen the traceable logs it. And then the problem is that you have not discoved the TB
It is not really a problem I am asking just to avoid multiple logs.
When I am traveling around and see code stamp in logbooks I write down a code or take a photo and log a code back home. I know for sure that I found the same code for at least four time in four different opportunity. It would be nice to somehow recognize already logged code and not to repeat same procedure.
But if this is not possible at the moment there is nothing to from my side.
Thank you for your answer.

Hello Apneli,

when I discover a TB-stampmark I always make a photo, which I add to my discovery-log. Furthermore I have an excel-list beginning with the TB-name, alphabetically sorted (TB00001, TB00002, TB00003, ...), Sure, you have to spend some time having it updated, but I recognize every TB, I know the owner and where and when I already found the same TB-stampmark. Have a look at my photo-gallery, you will find a lot of TB on cars or TB-stampmarks there. If you're interested in an accurate documentation, I see no other way than creating an excel-list.

Kind regards, Gubemax.
