Whenever you complete the criteria for a Souvenir, You will be awarded it. Each one has different criteria, you can view these here:

you need to find a cache in particularly country to get state badge or you have to find particularly cache on particular day to get special badge, depends what requests are for getting it.

Souvenirs are pictures in your Geocaching-Account. You earn them when you log special caches, Caches in a spezific area or special types in a special time.

Fore example:

  • Land-Souvenirs, you earn them by logging you first Cache in this land.
  • Cito-Souvenirs: log a cito-event in a spezific time
  • Mega-Souvenirs: Log a Megaevent
  • and others
