My son and I got a FTF last year, we have separate accounts. At first we had his log entry wrong, without the **FTF**, and it wouldn't show up on his account, only mine. Now I've run a refresh on his finds, and also added the FTF to a public bookmark list and selected that in settings, but still it won't show up on his account.

Is this because the site won't recognise two accounts of both being FTF?? Or do we need to wait longer for the refresh to 'take'?

Thanks

There shouldn't be an issue with this site recognising two accounts claiming FTF on the same cache. Have his stats been updated since you did the refresh on the cache? You can see the date of the last update at the top of the ProfileStats page.
I don't think the stats have been updated, but the refresh has finished - the stats update usually happens around 10.30pm here - I'll see if it happens tonight then report back....

Alternatively you can force an update - click the support button and select "Self support"
I thought that was what was referred to by "Now I've run a refresh on his finds", or I would have mentioned it myself.
If you've run the self-support update you don't need to wait for the update of the stats page, just check on the FTF list page to see the current state of the database.
Sorry - I did mean 'force an update' when I said refresh his finds....
An update - it is now showing up in his FTF tab, so this has obviously worked, but not appearing in the BadgeGen/Belt areas - will this now take longer to find its way into these areas?
We do love our only FTF - it wasn't a rush and grab one, it was a couple of days after publication, and a couple of experienced cachers had recorded a few DNFs, we rolled up, a 3yo in a stroller, and made the FTF.... very proud to say the least!
the badges/best are updated once per day for paying members and once per week for non paying member.
You have to wait for an update
All good now - the overnight update has now populated his BadgeGen....
Thanks for everyones input....

Since you can have Team-FTF's and the FTF itself is no data that exists anywhere on geocaching.com (it is just a "user generated" feature / problem / disease / call it what you want) the API does not provide any data for it, except some markings in the logs or the bookmarklist. So you can have multiple FTF's on one cache.

For example: you could use the sentence "congratulations to the (FTF)" in any of your logs and your FTF-count would increase. Even if you are the 1000th to find the cache. PGC has just to rely to the correct use of the marking..
