Hi,

I know that the most important logs are the "Found it" ones but I think the other ones are also important in the game. The DNF mean the cache is difficult or it may have disappear, the "need maintenance" and the "write note" help the CO, the "maintenance done" are an important info on the CO...

What about a way to count them? We can imagine that the percentage of DNF in the total logs quantity can be calculate and comparate with the percentage of the other geocachers.

I think this statistic could be interesting

This has ben discussed before, and I think it's technically impossible. Regardless, I'd strongly oppose anything that reveals the number of another cacher's DNFs, as it may lead to reluctance to publish such logs.

It actually is technically possible for us to create. But I am also afraid that some people will realize how easy it is to top a DNF list for example.

Just as you are, we are afraid that this will give a side effect that isn't good for the geocaching. Similar to "The Author" badge, it was well meant, probably worked quite good for a few years, now I personally think it has just ruined logs.
Perhaps the calculation of the author badge should take the log similarity into account? ;)
