Hello all-

This question has probably been asked already but I have not been able to find the answer, on this forum or elsewhere. I was looking through the details for the BadgeBar (based on BadgeGen) program, which has a badge for finding Project A.P.E. caches. The part that confuses me is that the Diamond badge is only awarded for finding three Project A.P.E. caches. I am only aware of two active Project A.P.E. caches, the one in Seattle and the one in Brazil. Where is the third one?

Thanks,

Karatana

To add to -DOLFINANDO-'s answer, not much information is left on geocaching.com regarding Project A.P.E. -- just this cache types page and some forum posts, really -- but the reviewer who hid Mission 12 created a page to preserve the history behind this film promotion.

There were 14 APE caches. Just those two remain active and one has changed to a traditional.

GCA4B, GCAFC, GCBA4, GCC67, GCD35, GCDF3, GCEF7, GC1058, GC1168, GC1169, GC12AC, GC12AD, GC1412, GC1596.
