Can the WARDS in Washington DC be set up to be used for a challenge checker - like counties?

Exactly my question - WARDS are the equivalent to COUNTIES in Washington DC  - so they would be appropriate from the guidelines perspective.

What would be necessary to make WARDS available for a challenge checker?

No. This is from the guidelines for challenges: " Challenges based on geographic areas other than countries, states/provinces, counties (or their local equivalent). For example, user-defined mapping polygons, latitude/longitude, radius, etc. (updated Aug 2016)"

Sorry, I misunderstood. If you want to use them in a checker you would need to find polygon data for them and get that added to the polygon checker (used for delorme challenges, for instance).

Polygon checkers are not allowed under the listing guidelines. The smallest level available for a checker is District of Columbia (DC). (OSM admin level 8)

I agree that the current level available is Washington DC - but I would like to have the checker be able to handle the WARDS in DC - which are equivalent to counties in states.  My question is how to make this happen?
