Automatic translation would be even better.... I know Cachly can do this, I assume with a data connection. It would be great to occur before a PQ was made....

Not sure how far it is the case, but I except a Cache with a "tourist friendly" attribute to have a listing at least in English, if not other common languages as well. So if the tourist friendly attribute is used consistently in this way, an extra "English listing" attribute would be unnecessary.

I'm not sure about just "english" but I agree being able to filter by language of cache page would be useful.  Perhaps implemented as a custom filter would make sense.

there are  number of language detection api's available to generate the back end data for this, which would add cost to the infrastructure. I'm not familiar with Sphinx which is what PGC uses for advanced text search, however I know Lucene (open source) and dtSearch and Aspose libraries can do language detection as well as many other things.  I'm sure there are others tolls available as well.

Not bad idea but i think this is question more to groundspeak than to pgc.... filtering by language could be useful only if owner during listing editing can selest appropriate language (via some option) and this is matter of groundspeak. othervise by automatic selection there could be little problem if listing is written in more then one language.
