Sometimes different caches have exactly (or nearly) the same co-ordinates. There are several possible reasons for this:

– a multi, mystery or similar cache has its header co-ordinates at the same spot as a traditional (or other) cache.

– the same spot has been used over time for two or more caches, archived in turn. This is often (but not exclusively) true of "reloaded" caches.

My problem is that on the maps, especially on map compare, in this case one icon hides the other(s) on the same spot. You don’t see that there are/have been several caches on this location. What’s worse, even if I know they are there, I have not figured out any possibility how to select the icon(s) hidden below.

On the geocaching.com maps in this case you have an additional little bar at the bottom of the pop out cache description, "1 of x nearby results", and you can toggle through the list by means of the little arrows right to this.

I assume something similar must exist on PGC, but I cannot find it. Could somebody help me with this, please? (If there really is no possiblity of doing this, then my question would convert into a feature request, of course.)

I don't think there is a way. The Geocaching maps have some grouping implemented, which allows this, but I did not see it in PGC maps.

Probably the fastest way now is to draw an area around the caches (using the VGPS icon on the left), add them to vgps and browse them in the VGPS. It is not nice, but it should do the job in the occasional cases when this happens -- it is not very common that the caches overlap completely/

Otherwise, I would agree that this would make sense to implement to improve the maps here on PGC.
