Hello,
Is it possible to make a mass of logs publishing tool?
For this, the page ask to choose the geocache_visits.txt of GPS (so Garmin).
And then the ability to edit / modify these visits with models of features (templates) to pre-fill the logs (eg "#<num> - <date> <time> - Thanks <owner> !" ) then it will be enough to change to complement and make beautiful logs.
Thanks !

Bonjour,
Merci !

An alternate is to do that in GSAK. The publish logs feature does exactly what you describe above. I don't know if there are pauses in the publish logs if you use it for free
[EN] Yes, but I have Mac OS. And use GSAK with Wine is not perfect (many errors, lag, etc). On Mac there iCaching but are no models/templates for log. That's why Project-GC would be a good alternative ;-)

You could use a VM like vitrualbox and run a windows instance and GSAK in that.
It is not a beautiful solution but it works. I you need to log a large trail it might be worth it
PGC would be a better alternative but i man not sure template logging is relay something we need more of. As a CO a template like that is as boring as a TFTC.
I have only used identical logs on power trails. I usually use it to add a standard text on the end of the log like "Logged on trip to ____ with ___ and____ "

You can insert templats on gc.com with "GC little helper" grease monkey is required but i assume it exist for firefox and chrome in osx. I think they can do most things in your example. but you have to to do a few clicks per cache

The VM is good, but a license for Windows ONLY GSAK, it is expensive ...! That's why PGC would be a good alternative (I prefer to become a member annually PGC that buying a Windows license).

Regarding the templates, I NEVER publish the logs as is. Never, ever. As a setter, I know how it is unpleasant to see the basic logs without interest. Templates I use as a structural basis for my logs (number of found, date / time found and owner). But for every log, I edited to complete and implement a comprehensive text on each of them :-)

This is under consideration, but the priority is not very high right now.

Salut Jipem,

you have partly this feature through Field Notes on geocaching.com http://www.geocaching.com/my/fieldnotes.aspx that get a geocache_visits.txt file from GPS (or even same file from applications like c:geo).

(but without any template).
