According to Map Regions, Kosovo is a region of Serbia, not a separate country. Howvever in the map of Europe it is shown as having a border with the rest of Serbia. It also shows as green, even though I've only found caches in Central Serbia.

I'm not stating whether it should be a separate coutry or not, but as GroundSpeak/PGC regard it as part of Serbia, could you remove the border on the map please, otherwise it looks like I've cached in an area where I haven't. Thanks.

Same would be Ireland/Northern Ireland.
If you found a cache in RoI, NI will be green too although there's the border on the map.
If you found a UK cache (but not in NI), NI stays white, although it's part of the UK.

That's the problem, when GS defines countries other than they officially are and there are no maps for that.
Why the down vote? It was a legitimate question.
Not sure if you mean me by that, just for the record, I didn't down vote. ;)

without giving any judgment, i read in Wikipedia that it has gained independance.

On 17 February 2008, Kosovo unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia.[17] It has since gained diplomatic recognition as a sovereign state by 113 UN member states. Serbia does not recognize Kosovo as a sovereign state,[18] although with the Brussels Agreement of 2013, it has accepted its institutions. While Serbia recognizes administration of the territory by Kosovo's elected government,[19] it continues to claim it as the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija
