There used to be a feature on project gc that allowed you to take a look at a specific area and see what sort of archived caches might be in the area.  Most multi's are still around and are just hard to find. I've had good luck finding and cleaning up those old mutli's.   Any plans on putting the map check feature back up?

You can already do that if you are paying member. Create a custom filter that only shows archived caches.
You can use it on for example map compare. Don forget to also select "Show Disabled/Archived" and select archived  else you only get a blank map.

I you are not a paying memeber you can display all archived withthe "Show Disabled/Archived"  you cant remove avtive caches but archives have a difffrent icon and red backgound in the list below
