I got the Signal The Frog popup yesterday, but my message didn't get logged.

Question

I got the Signal The Frog popup yesterday. I entered a message and completed the form, but the trackable wasn't logged. Did I do something wrong ? Is this a bug in the website ? Did anyone else experience this ?

Has the popup returned or were you successful in getting the trackable logged?  You might consider using the Support link found in the upper right of the PGC home page.

No, the log never appeared and it didn't pop up again yet. No idea how frequent this should happen either.
But I won't bother support with something as trivial as this.
I'll contact support if it pops up again and it doesn't log the discovery properly again.

It occurred to me that you may have already been awarded Signal the Frog in the form of points.  Go to your Profile Stats and right click on the reward shield.  Check to see if you have a category listed in the Specification of your points table called Site TB discovers.  Let me know if you see that.

No, I don't believe this is the case.
I only see "Validated email address", "Supscription", "Active membership", "Community support", "Site activity points" and "Provilestats usage".

OK, thank you for confirming that you don't see that category.  I find it strange that something prevented this under your account.  Anyway, I hope the next time it pops you are successful.  

You might consider taking snapshots of the screen when it does and any subsequent steps you take to fill in fields etc.  Should it fail again that will be your proof to file a Support ticket and the Admin can look into it.

Perhaps I took too long to tell my story and something timed out before I submitted the form.
Good idea to take screenshots next time, I'll do that in case the log doesn't go through again.

Same thing happened here. Been trying to get this resolved off and on for over a year, however so far neither project-gc nor geocaching.com will take responsibility to help fix it. Even have screenshots to prove it.

After doing a search for Signal the Frog this thread appeared https://project-gc.com/qa/?qa=6940/popup-discover-signal-trackable-didnt-code-someone-provide&show=6940#q6940.  It is a very old thread so I am not sure if it is satisfactory to your issue.  Much has changed since then.

I did find that other post as well and what is described in there is exactly what I did. I completed the form, but I guess something went wrong in the background between Project-GC and Geocaching.com.
Ah well, I'll wait for him to pop up again and see if it works better then.
