The new maps are great, I especially love the idea of different colors based on the number of finds in that area (don't like that shade of yellow very much, though, I preferred the good old green :P)! Of course, with a major change there are also some small mistakes that show up. I noticed two in my country (Italy) maps, hoping that they will be fixed.

1. The name of a county is wrong: it appears as Monza e della Brianza, but this is part of the extended form or the name and it doesn't make sense alone. To be consistent with the rest of the website (and make sense) it should be Monza e Brianza.

2. The region of Friuli Venezia Giulia has 4 counties, but they are not shown in the map. When I select the county view on the maps in the profile stats, all caches found in the region appear as found in the whole region, without a division in the different counties. There are not even borders between the counties anymore. This also applies to the list of counties, where there are no more the counties of that region, but just the name of that region.

The name for Monza e Brianza is an error and will be corrected.

For Friuli Venezia Giulia the four counties you are referring to (Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine) have been abolished so they will not appear on Project-GC anymore. The regions and counties have been updated to use newer data so this is intentional and not a bug.

1. Thanks

2. I did a small research: the four counties in Friuli Venezia Giulia have been only formally abolished. Actually they just changed name from Provincia (the equivalent of county in Italy) to Ente di Decentramento Regionale (~Regional Decentration Entity), but are the same four areas with the same four names. The change is only for administrative reasons, but the powers of the four "Entities" remains the same.
The problem is that it's impossible to make these kinds of exceptions for all countries of the world and for most part the formal/official administrative boundaries are the ones Project-GC will use, but I'll see what would be possible/reasonable here.
Thank you very much
There have been multiple reports about this and an exception will be made here, the removed counties Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste and Udine have been reinstated at Project-GC. It will take a little while for this change to be fully completed and everything showing up correctly in the maps.
I noticed another small mistake: I see that you added the map for Vatican City; the region is shown as "Vaticana Civitas", but it should be the opposite, "Civitas Vaticana"
Thank you for pointing this out, this will be corrected.
