importing bookmark into virtual gps - get message "error importing from bookmark list, unknown error." Suggestions?

Size of bookmark didn't seem to matter.  I saw a similar question from several years ago, but it was never answered.

What bookmark do you try to import? Is it public?

It was a private list.  Thought that may be the answer, so changed the list to public and tried again.  Same result.

I just tried to import the following bookmark list and it worked just fine: https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BM16WNR so I assume this might be an issue with the particular bookmark list (it might take some time before PGC will notice the change of the status). Do you have a link to the bookmark you tried to import?

Sooo....just tried again and still getting the error message.  Any other suggestions!

Try the usual. Delete your cookies then restart your browser. Deleting cookies can fix some pretty weird faults.

So I finally got it to work.  The bookmark list must be SHAREABLE, not just public.

I am getting this error message. How do you make a bookmark list public AND shareable. I can only select one or the other.

It's a legacy text. Both Public and (or) Shareable should work nowadays.

I figured it out. I needed to have the name of the list created first.
