Hello, why are caches in Northern Ireland placed in Ireland and are not in United Kingdom? Thanks, Miroslav

The country on Project-GC is fetched from the API. This means caches are placed in whatever country they are selected to be in at geocaching.com. The official stance is that Northern Ireland should be considered a part of Ireland, there are however some older caches placed in Northern Ireland with UK selected as a country (unless it has been corrected since I last checked).

More information about this can be found in the Help Center: https://www.geocaching.com/help//index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=92&pgid=98
