Was mache ich hier denn falsch? Oder ist die Funktion fehlerhaft?

Vielen Dank und beste Grüße

Matthias

If you are not a paid member of Project-GC then your stats can take a week to update, so caches you have already found may not yet show. Otherwise, please provide some examples and we'll dig into it.

Google Translate:

Wenn Sie kein bezahltes Mitglied von Project-GC sind, kann es eine Woche dauern, bis Ihre Statistiken aktualisiert werden, sodass Caches, die Sie bereits gefunden haben, möglicherweise noch nicht angezeigt werden. Andernfalls geben Sie bitte einige Beispiele an, und wir werden uns damit befassen.
Dear the Seagnoid,

Thanks for your help!

I am a paid member. Nevertheless, the comparison of maps seems to have a malfunction. I would like to compare the profiles of freisem (me) and Ponak22 for the map of Münster (district in Germany, Northrhine-Westphalia). Project-GC shows a map and states that there are currently 83 caches in Münster, neither of which we have found. But this is not correct.

Ponak22 for instance has found GC31Y2B on March 13th this year. Another example: Ponak22 found GC95RCR (my own cache) on February 21st 2021. And GC9MWP5 was found by Ponak22 on May 21st 2022.

It would be great if Project GC could show only those caches which we haven’t found both and which are not owned by one of us.

Best
Matthias (freisem)

After reading your comments this sounds like a user error.

Am I understanding correct that you are trying to use MapCompare to find all caches in Germany/Nordrhein-Westfalen/Münster that both Ponak22 and freisem have not logged and you get an answer that's too high?

The real answer is 22 and this is found out by MapCompare, as you can see here: Linky
What you need to do is click "none found" and "Owned as found", and then view the tab "none". You'll still be able to see the number of caches that only the person in the first name-box has logged above the map but that can just be ignored if you're not interested in the info.

Thank you! This is very helpful!
What exactly is the meaning of the "Owned as found" filter?
- When I open your link I get the same results, regardless of whether "Owned as found" is active or not.
- Apart from the fact that I do not completely understand the meaning of that filter, I suspect that the entry has been translated incorrectly. If you look at the page in German, the filter is called "Eigentümer hat gefunden" = "Found by (Cache-)Owner".
@PHIL The point of the "Owned as found" filter is to exclude caches that the people you're comparing own too. If you're planning a trip with a friend to target caches you've both have not found it doesn't help the planning if all your hidden caches are shown as "caches PHIL has not found". Using "owned as found" means your hidden caches are also removed from the map to be able to only target caches that you both will get to log.

I'm not sure what a better translation would be in German, but everybody can contribute with translations if you find an error. https://project-gc.com/Home/FAQ#1352555043
Thank you for the prompt answer and good explanation. Now I understand the meaning of that filter. The German translation is not correct (I will try to submit a better one over crowdin tomorrow). But even the english name of the filter would be better understandable for me if it would be "treat owned as found".
