Highest elevation

Question

Hello,

I need to filter out which Swedish cachers have collected a minimum of 10 caches at an elevation higher than 3000 m

I assume this can be readily be done if one knows how to do it. Can somone please advise?

While I need to know the answer I’m more interested in learnig how to do it.

What I would do, which require paid membership features: 

• Create a virtual GPS for the purpose.
• Use Statistics-> Top elevation caches. 
  • Find the number of caches that have an elevation of at least 3000m, add these to the virtual GPS.
• Use Statistics -> Top finders.
  • Only people from -> Sweden.
  • Filter -> Virtual GPS -> Use the virtual GPS you just created as the filter.
• Results -> 17 Swedish geocachers have at least ten finds that are at 3000m or higher.

At least one of them is a cheater tho so I suggest vetting your names thoroughly before placing them on your list of 10. Or well, at least I'd say it's very unlikely to manage China, Western Cape of South Africa and Kiruna in Sweden on the same day or many of the other wild travels this person have claimed in their stats. :) Just mentioned it because I recognized the name, I'm sure most of the others are honest.

Thank you for this. I believe I understand what I should do but i don’t know how to add the 3000m criterion. How is that done? I manage to check all the continents and then I want to add the 3000m criterion but elevation is not an option in the pull down menu “Add filter”. I noticed there is a an option to create a “Custom filter” and I found where I can develop one but there again is no means of adding a 3000m criterion.

Sorry for my naive questions but I’m still on a learning curve on how to use Project GC.

I didn't add the criterion for 3000m, I checked how many caches that was manually by just clicking at the "page marker" that said 11, moving to the one that said 21 and then clicking that until I ended up with caches below 3000m and took some steps back. The answer is that there's 6718 caches at 3000 or higher (tho I'm pretty sure it was 1-2 less yesterday when I checked) so you add the 1-6718 to your virtual GPS via the "add to virtual GPS-button".
