Not a big deal but curious. On the "challenge" tab, on my list of signed but not completed challenge caches, just a few of them have an asterisk * meaning "Date of first note by..." What does that mean? I generally leave only one note, on the day I signed it, and that was the case with the ones I checked. Why does PGC think there is more than one log on these?

THANKS

Just in case it matters: on challenge caches I always field log as a note, "Signed log more later." When I get back home / to the hotel / wherever I run the checker and either change that to a "Found it" or (if not qualified) write a proper log entry and also add a Personal Cache Note with the date that I signed it. That can happen that day, or the next day, or the next week. But just a few of them have that * for "first log by..."

I think you've misunderstood the asterix. The asterix says that the dates are for the first note, if you have multiple notes the later notes wont be listed with additional dates. The date will always be for the first note. If you only have one note, that note is the first note. There is no asterix to mark challenges with multiple notes.

Is it the asterix on some of the challenge names that confuse you? The asterix on for example "Zer0 to Nine Challenge*" and "TN CHALLENGE: All States East of the MISSISSIPPI*" is because the challenge is named like that, with an asterix at the end of the name, nothing else.

HAHAHAHAHA I am such an idiot. Yes indeed it was trailing asterisks in cache names that I was mistaking for "first note" asterisks. THANKS YOU SO MUCH for the reply!
