I shared my virtual gps with a friend, he got the "conversation" that it was shared with him, but when he goes to view it by clicking on the link it gives him a completely different virtual gps with a different name and I don't have any virtual gps' with that name. He sent me a video showing me this weird issue, I could try to share if that would be helpful. And now I just had another friend tell me the same exact thing happened to her - a mutual friend shared a virutal gps with both of us. I had no issues getting to it and seeing it, but she could not get to it.

A follow up, I just went to a recent "conversation" and clicked on the link, it took me to a completely different virtual gps than the one in the shared "conversation". Tried again with a different "conversation" and it took me to the previous conversation's link. Its like the links do not match up with the conversations? Went to another older "conversation" and it also took me to a completely different virtual gps than the one it should have been tied to.

Let me know how I can help solve this issue.

An additional side note but it may be related, when I'm in virtual gps and I switch to a different virtual gps, the virtual gps up on the bar across the top of the page does not update to the new virtual gps I'm sitting on unless I refresh the page. I'll try to attach a photo, but I think I had issues doing so last time.

Do you know if this is a regression? That is do you know if it used to be the case that it would open the shared list?

Looking at the code, the notification link just sends you to "/Tools/VirtualGPS", so it'll automatically open whatever list you had selected last time you used the VirtualGPS. (So while I agree with you that this is a user-friendly feature, I'm just trying to figure out if we broke something in the last update or if this is something new.)

We'll definitely get that fixed. The display at the top is just a visual indicator, but it's nice if it updates right away.
I use the Virtual GPS all the time its my favorite trip planning tool and I've been using its for many years now, I don't recall this being an issue before things were changed to the new version? But I could be wrong, so even if that is the case, that it just takes you to the generic page, they can't find the virtual gps shared in the list of virtual gps'.
