Hi there!

Since there is the well known D/T-Matrix around, I wondered why there is no T/S Matrix? (but only for pysical caches)

At first I thought of a bigger matrix covering:

traditional-multi-mystery-letterbox-whereigo / micro-small-regular-large-other

But then I realised that some of the combinations haven't been hidden at least in my area. So a smaller matrix leaving out "whereigo" and "other" would be nice... or an even smaller only with the first 3 of each.

What do you think about that? :-)

cheers

Just a note - standard valid letterbox cannot be micro, as it should contain a stamp.

I never thought of that possibility, so I just checked my results (using the Map Compare page). With a matrix of traditional-multi-mystery-letterbox-whereigo / micro-small-regular-large-other-notchosen I have already filled all the boxes except letterbox-micro and wherigo-large. That's a bit better than I would have expected.

hmm... didn't know there is already a possibility :)

But... I only get a map and a list of caches... is there a possibility to get the result as a matrix? (or did I miss something and it's already there somewhere)

cheers

No, you can't get a matrix. You can use that page to search for all your finds that are traditional-micro. Then you search for all traditional-small. Then... you get the idea. No, it's not practical.
ok, thank you :-)

I like the idea for a Challenge. There is a common concept called V-caches (virtual, wherigo webcam), which are ignored in many Challenges. So an alternative could be to exclude those if they doesn't fit your location. I am also not sure if all types exists in all sizes. For example, a virtual cache can't really be a small, since it doesn't have a container.

I haven't checked how I do myself with a T/S-matrix yet. But I will look into it I think. But first I need to research which types has all the sizes.

PS! I have moved this question out from the Checker request category since it's not a checker request and more a question of peoples opinions. Our plan is to keep the checker request category clean enough, so that those who write checkers can look in it and find what more checkers the users want.
