When a new challenge is published and tagged after publication how long does it take before shown on the map if you qualify or not.

I easy answer is immediately after the checker has been run on you. If you or somone else test it manualy on you the result is updated
The longer answer is if you don't run it yourself it depends
From what i have understand for ganja how often a checker is retested on you depends on the distance from you to the challenge among other things. So a update after new finds will be correct on the map depending of where the challenge is.

If there are no special case for new checkers they will be tested next time the automatic tester retests caches for you.
I have now idea how often that happens but i would not be surprise if it works the same way as the stats update described below by pinkunicorn

I am unsure about what the question is about.

Either, if it's about the challenge checker-map where one can see if it has a checker or not, it should be updated instant.

Otherwise, if it's like Target interpeted. It depends on when the checker is run for you. Since there are thousands of users of Project-GC, and the average checker takes a second or so. It will not be run for everyone right away. But a manual run will save the result and be used on the map.

Yours is the correct interpretation but when I'm tagging just published challendes on PGC I don't seen the red or green when I run it again.
It normally it takes 1 or even 2 days before it shows.
I did a test on http://coord.info/GC5MMNN that had no checker.
I created it and verified it  and reloaded the map and i had no icon on the map. The i run the checker on my nick and refresh the map after the checker had run. Now i had a not ok icon on the icon.
The 1 to 2 days delay i probably tie time it take for the checker to run in the background but if you run it yourself you will see the result on the map(after refesh)
Thanks , Target
