Add color coding information to statistics

Question

I love the statistics pages, but I feel that many of them could be improved with a little documentation, like for example what the different colors mean in the graphs.

It should make it easier for ppl to understand them I think.

Hi endator,

What do you exactly mean, which charts are not clear?

For example - DT Matrix or Finds by found date or Finds by hidden date are classic heat maps. Black font in Finds by found date is explained. :)

Other charts like Finds by year cache placed are just pie charts with random colors to discriminate sets of data.

In charts like Finds by month per year brown color means that you have at least one find/attend on every single day in a month.

For me - the only thing I don't understand is bold in Way to 81 in D/T column.

The bold ones in "Way to 81" seem to be the ones that have at least one of D or T at 3 or higher. This corresponds to "81 Diff/Terr combinations found, out of 81
837 (18.2%) finds were rated with Diff or Terr of 3 or greater" found under the D/T matrix.

I think he is talking about the color coding in tables like Top Elevation (http://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation?profile_name=pinkunicorn&country=Sweden&region=%C3%96sterg%C3%B6tland&submit=Filter). Here, blue are unfound, gray are found, black are archived and green are owned.

Hi again endator,

As far as I know, Magnus has it on his TODO list (with low priority, but still) and he is looking for the solution for placing color legend for those charts :)
